I have some bias with Mario Kart DS as it was the game that finally got me into the Mario Kart series. Definitely held back by technical limitations of the DS. But Deuxe is the best experience and I’m currently working on perfecting 200cc for the new courses as they come out. As for main line Mario games I’m stuck between Super Mario 64 and Super Mario World. World is more fun especially couch co-op but Mario 64 is such an amazing journey despite how it frustrates me when I fuck up a jump. Also the music from Dire Dire Docks is so calming.
