@@maryriley8077 That 'spectacle' comment was a real kick in the teeth to both British taxpayers and the people who had turned out on the day, and without the latter that wedding would have been flat. I suspect that Markle's disgraceful comment may have been 'narc revenge'. When she and Harry left the UK, we did criticise them for running off a mere 20 months after their eye-wateringly expensive wedding. She bit back very quickly, saying that the wedding had brought money into the economy, so our criticism did register with her. It's clear from her overall behaviour that she bears grudges and cannot let go of slights, so it's possible that the 'spectacle' comment was payback.

BEEBS! One can't compare that awful ill fitted monstrosity Duchess Dog Biscuits wore to that of the elegant Olivia's. I thought Olivia's dress was absolutely gorgeous, classy, elegant and timeless. I thought her choice of shoes was absolutely A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! And talk about so much more comfortable given the block heel. Her hair and makeup was stunning. Cast your thoughts back to Duchess Dog Biscuits hair on her wedding day - horrendous with the pieces falling out around her face. I really loved Olivia's headpiece - reminded me of the headpiece our gorgeous Princess of Wales and Princess Charlotte wore to King Charles Coronation. All in all, the new Duchess of Westminster looked STUNNING on her wedding day.

Duchess Dog Biscuits' hair on her wedding day was an insult. She wanted that "I just got out of bed after having sex" look. It was a insult to everyone: HMTQ and the Royal Family, wedding guests, and those of us watching on tv. Guests attending a wedding make the effort to look their best. Duchess Dog Buscuits' deliberate choice of a messy hair style was a giant FU to all of us. For me, it was a worst choice than her dress.

With such a public / society wedding with disruption to the city, the family have had ties with Chester for generations, and still does, with the wedding on local news, as long as it is respectful to the Bride and all involved , then people should be allowed to express an opinion. Brides and their choices, have been talked about within their own families and friends for generations. The difference with us everyday folk, it's not on social media, news etc. Weddings have become more extravagant. It is a money making business. Influenced by celebrities and reality stars. I think Olivia looks stunning. The color of the gown is perfect, not too white. I love the scalloped neckline, but I felt the fit across the chest was a bit weird. The waist band was very flattering. The fabric was much more flowing than Meghan's stiff dress. The veil was perfection. I believe the embroidery on Meghan's veil could have been done in such a way that would have made it shorter and more appropriate for her gown. Olivia looked beautiful! I was not a fan of Eugenie's dress because of the color. I think a different color and smaller size would fit her better.

The fit around the bust would have been better if there had been some illusion net across the back as a layer beneath the cut-out. I understand her wanting the open back, it looked lovely, but no-one would have noticed that slight compromise for a better bust fit. To be really nit-picky - I don't like the choice of lace at the cuffs. The lace scalloping around the neckline complemented the lace around the edge of the veil. The lace at the cuffs is a totally different style & pattern which doesn't co-ordinate with anything.

It's very hard to please everyone on your wedding day. But I think the one thing we need to remember. It's the bridesday's it's her day to shine and show how she feels inside to outside.. I think her dress was simplistic but beautiful. I don't know what some were thinking that she had to come in with the large ball gown type princess Diana dress. I like it, it's very simple very chic and very romantic. The shoes I think were awesome. It shows a fun Kiki side to the bride. Also, her bridesmaids wore the same shade of blue shoes which made that a fun thing. I liked it, but more importantly, the bride loved it. That's what's important not all the rest of our opinions

It had so much lace and ruffles and poofinus. It was just one big marshmallow explosion. I know it was the 80s and let's face it. Some of the styles from that error were just Horrible. But her wedding dress is not even classically beautiful. It's just a big poofy marshmallow. I loved Catherine's dress but also princess Eugene. Olivia looked beautiful. I would have asked for the scallops to repeat at the hemline or train. I also thought a stiffer or smoother lining would have stopped the clinging of the fabric to her legs & that an understructure to the front of the bodice would have made the fit more flattering. I think one of the reasons why many people didn’t care for it was that it wasn’t a contemporary style, but looked very old fashioned. Her dress was very personalized and uniquely hers. Eugénie did need a slip or better bra. She was wearing a size or two too big. She’s busty and hippy, so has to be careful with how fabrics cling or fall on her. It might have been good if she’d had it tailored and maybe hemmed up a bit. I think she often looks fussy, and this wasn’t, but her figure is matronly unless she is careful about the little things. She has potentially great curves, but needs to showcase them differently.

Olivia's dress was timeless elegance with a modern twist. It gave me 1930's Old Holywood vibes. If the wind wasn't such a nuisance, I highly doubt we would have seen any more than the tip of her blue shoes. Actually, when I was a bridal consultant, I'd suggest blue shoes if the bride was quirky/fun. I'm sure she had a sixpence in her shoe, too. Three-quarter length sleeves are my favorite for bridal gowns, and the lace on the cuffs and neckline were the perfect touch to soften the edges while bringing in elements of her absolutely perfect veil. Nothing screams "BRIDE" like a wedding veil. Her tiara hair could have rivaled Crown Princess Victoria's. Well, almost. Still, it was excellent. All in all, it was an exquisite bridal look. ❤❤

Eugenie had wrong body type for that dress. As someone born curvy at hips and breast, unless I was going out to a club to dance or hanging out, never wear stretchy, thin fabric. For something formal like a wedding, thicker fabric that skims, not hugs.

Seeing The Meg's veil from that angle makes it look like she was trying to give a "sweet nod" to Diana's ridiculously long veil, which didn't look good either! 😂

I really liked the bride's outfit. I would have preferred no lace on the sleeves, the actual sleeve a bit longer with the same scalloped edges as the neckline!😊

I may be in the minority here, but I don’t like the open back. Sorry!! On a sundress it’s ok, but a wedding gown, no. I’ll get flak for this but im just not comfortable with the skin showing. Reminds me of someone else’s backless dress. She did look gorgeous though and so polished. A great representative of royalty.

I wouldn't have had a problem with the shoes if they weren't velvet and bow. This is not a winter wedding and it just makes the whole look appear even more heavy and frumpy

She is a very petite bride. I loved her dress, (not so much the shoes) . It had a real 1930s vibe. The only thing I would change would be the sleeves. I'd make them full length and more tightly fitted with the lace draping over her wrist area. I loved the waistline. I would have gone for a softer hairstyle. But with the windy weather it's just as well she went for a tighter hairdo. That wind made for some spectacular photos. The flower arch outside the church was soo beautiful. Those flowers were donated to the hospitals afterwards. A lovely couple truly in love. May their marriage be blessed.

The cutout at the back could have had a sheer insert to keep it snug fitting. And at the price they paid, the sheer insert could have been silk and perfectly sheer with great structure too

Although at Chester Cathedral, this was essentially a country wedding. Having seen their engagement photo, Olivia’s dress suits her perfectly. It was a take on the 40s style & using a very light fabric was tailored to her to perfection. (I know as I have sewn wedding gowns). The wind was very unfortunate as it blew her dress around messing up the look.

Not so! I liked aspects of the dress but felt a bit let down. This was supposed to be the wedding of the decade. The shoes: horrid. The cutout in the back: may as well have displayed a tacky tattoo. The hair: aged the bride. I was underwhelmed.

Her dress was really pretty. She looked beautiful! Despite what instagram and the kardashians lead some to believe, not every garment has to be skin tight and see-thru. It fits her style and has a little sneaky sexy open back while remaining elegant.

The blue shoes look clunky to me. I initially thought she was wearing black combat boots (also pretty fun). Love that she wore them I just didn’t like the look.

The biggest difference is that Olivia's smile showed her true happiness! MM looked like the cat that ate the canary or the smug look of someone who had just accomplished a goal. Stark contrast there! I wouldn't say Olivia looked frumpy at all. MM made 1 bad choice after another, the type & color of the dress fabric, the style & cut of the dress, the overly long train, the hairdo, the makeup. Overall, it was a train wreck of a look. On top of that, she just didn't seem like a bride who was so happy to marry the love of her life, there was no joyful expression. It just didn't seem like the joyous occasion a wedding should be, a weird vibe.

I love the lace on the cuffs of the shorter sleeves, the scallop keyhole at the back, I believe it has personality and she wanted to have some fun with the shoes, that tells me that she's real and down to earth.

I didn't like her hair, it looked so harsh, although i understand why she may have worn it that way due to the windy conditions.
