An alternative to the flower cubes is berry cubes - that way when the ice melts your drink isn't full of limp petals. Raspberry cubes would be great for gin!

Protip: never push floral foam under water, this creates air pockets and doesn't allow it to take in as much water. Let it take on water and it naturally sink. Also, wear breathing protection if cutting the foam blocks because you don't want green dust in your lungs.
