Gosh, i could hardly believe it when the stylist said to Joma's face 4:39 "you're always finding fault with every dress". No wonder the client immediately burst into tears , I would too if a consultant said something so judgmental to me. This consultant needs to reflect on why she chose to blame her customer and make her wrong for not liking what the consultant had picked out. Joma clearly didnt like either of the first 2 dresses and her instincts were right; the OTT glam style looked so stifling and old-school on her -- and so matronly -- whereas the 3rd and last dress looked modern,light, and youthful, with an organic prettiness. I'm glad Joma found a style that really reflected her personality.

The consultant saying ‘I’m just afraid it’s you. You always find fault in every dress.’ And then being surprised bride cried. That dress had a poor fit on top. Bride was right to voice her concern. This awful shop always shames brides for not liking a dress. Focus is always on sell expensive and sell quick, never the bride.

What she said is, "I'm just concerned for you that you're always finding fault in every dress." Since the bride had admitted to trying on 30 dresses so far it is a legitimate concern. If the consultant is saying that after the second dress in this shop then I think voicing that concern is premature. But, this being a clip from a full show we have no idea how many she has tried on. The consultant's comment is easily taken out of context.

As a 30 year professional wedding planner, I can attest to the fact that one of the most difficult challenges in the planning of a wedding is making sure the bride finds a dress which makes her feel fabulous. Body image issues are real and are not limited to being overweight. Anorexia, eating disorders, obesity and low self-esteem can all play a tremendous role in making or breaking the wedding dress appointment. This is why I always spend time getting to know my brides and personally accompanying them and their entourage to purchase the dress. It is amazing to see what impartial words from an unbiased professional third-party can do to make a bride feel like a princess, no matter her size or weight. Every bride deserves to feel like a princess on her wedding day!

They never put the brides in dresses that reflect what they want, they are always over budget, and they typically push the bride to a breakdown due to their rude and inconsiderate communication and gaslighting. She had a bridal break down because the attendant told her she was finding things wrong w every dress. We saw it on camera. Very unprofessional. You messed up the Brides' day. And that's the real truth. It's about how the Bride feels in the dress. And she never wants to go shopping again. Again that's the attendants fault!!! If this were my show, I would have to go back and Re- edit this one. And then I would have a different attendant the next one I filmed. 👎

The skirt on the first one looks cheap, even if the dress is flattering. Like someone took some scissors to it. The second one was stunning. She should’ve gone to Gok. He’s fantastic at guiding brides through the process of embracing their current body shapes, whether they’ve lost or gained weight, or have experienced illness or trauma. And his instincts with picking dresses always make the brides feel amazing. This shop almost always falls flat - I wish I could block all videos from it and NY, and only get videos from Gok, the Curvy Bride boutique, and Atlanta on my feed.

The consultant's comment overstepped so much. The second dress clearly was a bad choice. A princess dress is on the extreme side of styles, and the silhouette - neither the bust fit, the spaghetti strap, nor the wide skirt - didn't flatter her figure at all, obviously. I'm not sure why they thought it would! She also explicitly said there was too much boob and the skirt didn't look sophisticated to her. These are very valid points. Just find a dress that doesn't have a drop neck and a skirt that isn't all puffy tulle. Not too much to expect. 🙄

I think the brides tend to forget that these are sample dresses, and they're not always going to fit perfectly. Could be to a size or two small and therefore be tighter than you want them to be or they could be a size or two bigger and be loose in spots you don't want them to be!
