So much to unpack in that therapy session. Adem was so quick to agree that Dilara always sided with the Borans, "Just like my mom." I'm sick every time Adem compares Dilara to his mother. He was the one emotionally and physically abusive - a classic example of the abused becoming an abuser. If only the therapist had the full story but I'm glad she called him out on his victimhood. It's also good he's had a female therapist. It's probably the first time he's had to be on equal and respectful terms with a woman.

Therapist sessions were beautifully written, I wouldn't be surprised if the writer isn't a psychologist. Adem finally understanding self awareness, his mother's love was a toxic and dilara love was a kind of Controlling love, quick to side with borans his chief enemies she didn't understand his abdoment issues by his father which his mother lead him to believe and years of abuse. Esma if she married a men she loved or he loved those boys would have expressed love affection differently. Esma poured her extra love into faruk ,so faruk has to bear the burden of sons love for his mother and extra love she couldn't share with a loving husband, esmas relationship was based on respect and loyalty, as it is so often in islamic marriage its such a huge burden on faruk.. In Turkish drama often men actors are cast based on looks for their appeal on marketable image and less on charisma story line and over the top crying and arguing.. She gave up the love of her life to marry another for the sake of pleasing her parents and built an entire life with a man she may have respected and been fond of, but in no way was in love with. But she knew who was the only man she'd had intimate relations with and that was Fevzi. Not ever with her true love, Garip. 😢 But IF Faruk had asked her directly, would she have ever told the full story of how she started out loving one man, but married another. Had children with the other. Not with the man her heart desperately loved. I doubt it. This question was a fair one, given the circumstances. But I can understand how it hurt her so deeply, knowing the personal sacrifices she'd made for more than 40 years and then for her children to doubt her integrity. 😢💔

Big blow for Esma, but she needs to see that Fikret, Ipek and Ulfet created this mess

Yes, why didn't Esma just sit down when they moved in and explain what the issue was with Uflet? It was all in Esma's hands the whole time and she is the one who showed a lack of trust. She could barely even communicate with Faruk about how she met his father. I'm not excusing Ipek (she's wrong to her very core) but this was all avoidable.

@@nicn9776 You know why - because it's a Turkish drama :). There'd be no drama if everyone in the story was honest and straightforward and didn't try to hide the past (and we wouldn't all be watching because where's the fun in that?? LOL)

@@renaorenstein1716 Exactly. No drama, no one will watch. However, I realized that in that respect the series is actually very realistic. It's what 99% of us do in our own lives. Most of us are not as dramatic but we all repeat the same mistakes in different situations, over and over again until we really learn something. Usually, lessons only stick when there is a big mistake or result (e.g., burnout from work, health problems, failed or damaged relationships).

I don't think Adem learns anything from these therapy sessions he goes to, he only takes what he chooses to listen to and it is usually in the negative sense. Too bad if he would listen he would've benefitted from these sessions long time ago

Hold on, Adem, WHEN did Dilara "tell them (Borans) stories about me that weren't true, just like my mother did" -- when did that happen? Dilara has been straight-up, true-blue since the get-go! Adem destroyed the Borans and apart from the sweet nanosecond when he was in their circle, he's been nothing by a conniving fiend!

He wouldn't cuz as he is the oldest he has had to bear responsibilities of everyone around him and esma anyways always blames him for anything and everything other people do. He is the head of the family and knows that this blame game is going to get them nowhere. He isn't like sureyya, fikret, ipek etc. who are always ready to blame someone else for their mistakes. She should really start paying man
