I can't believe the parents are letting the younger sister take charge! It also sounds like the bride talked to her mom, did not get the answers she wanted for the cost of the dress, and then went to her dad for a higher amount to spend on the dress. Rather than start at the lower amount she told them $10,000 and caught Dad off guard. He could have put his foot down, but he caved. My daughter tried that at her appointment and I spoke up to say we wanted a price in the lower range rather than the max and she got a beautiful gown without breaking the bank. My daughter also wanted her brother at the appointment and he supported her choices. He didn't try to tell her what to buy. I wish more siblings were like that. I think they forget it is not their wedding. This bride caved to her sister's choice and then ended up without a dress. What a shame!

@thehungrygoldfish It's not about the 400 over-- it's that clearly her parents weren't really on board with the 10k budget in the first place. You can see that they were taken aback when she told the consultant that her budget was 10k. Her dad tried to modify it to between 5-10k, and her mom said in the interview that really she thinks the budget should be 2-3k. If someone else is paying for your dress, you have an honest conversation with them about what they're comfortable paying and you respect their wishes-- you don't try to stretch their budget to the upper limit.

This has to be fake. No one is going to let a 15yr (kind of snotty I felt as well) ruin their time like this and make calls on her Wedding grown and not a 15yr who need to be worried about other things like High school, beside her sister big day. In fact, I'd be like 15yr sister are you jealous and not hearing what I like? Yes you want all to like it but you the bride are the one who needs to LOVE IT not your 15yr sister!

Why would you put the fashion advice of a 15 year old on a pedestal? Anyone who has been 15 knows it's the fashion faux pas age

Dana should have been left at home. I didn't love the wedding dress my sister picked out, but I did the right thing and kept my opinions to myself, realizing it was the gown that she loved the most. Granted, I was 23 when she got married, but even if I had been younger, I still would have kept my mouth shut. That spoiled little brat needs to realize that it isn't HER wedding, and that sometimes, less is more. My wedding dress was a simple asymetrical A line strapless dress with a slit up the leg; it was reminiscent of something out of the 40's. It was lovely and had no bling, as it didn't need it; sometimes, if you have too much going on with the dress, it takes the focus off of the bride.

I'm 68. Growing up, Mom didn't like my sense of style; I wore what she brought home. Grandma said things made me look her age. Lol. I would never turn my special dress choice over to a 15 yr old or an 80 yr old. I'm my own girl. ❤

The 15 year old is obnoxious. The bride is ridiculous hanging on the opinion of 15 year old. In addition, when asked the price point, the bride said $10k but the father, looking grim, had said 5k-10k. Both girls are a couple of beauts.

The younger sister is hardly a fashion expert and her taste was questionable at best. Her behavior was downright obnoxious trying to make it all about her. The older sister needs to find her spine.

The bride and the mother act like the sister is some kind of fashion genius. When the bride found out how much the dress cost and wanted to think about it her mother said “but Dee really likes it”. There is a really weird family dynamic going on here. Why is that whiny child making decisions for the whole family?

I think the title is misleading. The 15 year old didn't hijack the appointment. Everyone surrendered their power to her, including the bride. A better title might be "Adults who are afraid to disagree with a child let's her control the appointment. "

i found their fb pages but could not find anything with wedding pictures to find out what kind of dress she wore. it may have just been a big put on to say they were letting little sister choose to get them on the show, but if that was really the case, how ridiculous. they now have 3 little girls. he's a good looking man!

I will say...when you look for your own dress, try at least 1 you arent super sure about. I bought my dress in December and was looking for a blush mermaid with lace. I wanted blush, wasnt super open to white/white adjacent. I was set on this style and kept thinking about this gorg dress from davids bridal and thought it was the one. Yeah, no. I got an ivory ballgown that was top to bottom sparkles. No lace. No blush. Very simple while still being very showy. It was the wild card option and im glad i gave it a chance ❤

So I agree 100% with a stylist and Randy about that 15-year-old. The bride was Not choosing a dress she liked. She was choosing a dress her sister liked. And like Randy said ever so kindly, Dana was not the one getting married! 🤦🏻‍♀️ You can tell the 15-year-old is spoiled rotten simply by the affected the way she talks. That's going to be a problem for when she gets married 🫣🫣🫣
