In this episode of The Perfect Fit, Shannelle is surprised to learn new bridal client Andrea had endured personal challenges before finding her perfect partner. Andrea finally feels deserving of having her own dream wedding and Shannelle is determined to help her achieve her vision. We’ll also meet Mindy, a bride who has been dreaming of her wedding dress since she was just twelve years old. The reveal of her final dress fitting brings tears to her mother and grandmother as they wish that Mindy’s grandfather were alive to witness this moment.

I totally agree with everyone else. When I got married I tried dress shop after dress shop, and all the dresses seemed to be made for a size 6. No one seemed to be helpful either. I was a size 18, I'm 5"7' and just because I have a bunch of tattoos and dress like a biker chick (which I was) I felt like I was being treated like trash that couldn't afford a wedding dress. We ended up getting married at the court house, I wore a white t shirt that said BRIDE on it and black jeans , and he wore the same except for GROOM. We've been married for almost 19 years, and I would love to have an actual real wedding on our 25th anniversary. This time in the white dress and tuxedos, the only thing that has changed is now I'm an incomplete quadraplegic and I really really hope that I will be able to walk down the isle by then. I just might have to go to her shop, I was born and raised in Illinois, it's where most of my family is. God bless! FAITH, HOPE AND LOVE!

The first bride is so deserving of a beautiful dress and experience. Hearing her story and how much love her and her wife have for each other was so sweet. And when she said everyone was upset they weren’t at her wedding and she said something like she didn’t know so many people wanted to celebrate her and her wife’s marriage to each other brought a few tears to my eyes! But im so glad they are going to have a ceremony now and all their family and friends get to come celebrate them! Now with the shop, I love how they make every appointment special and personable to each bride.

I absolutely love this show..I had gastric bypass but for my first wedding I was a heavy bride.. the shop told me that if I lose weight I'd look more a proper bride...I did..I lost so much weight that the dress I tried.. which was 3 sizes 2 small, actually was too big and they had to reorder it.. but I remember the shame and humiliation I felt in front of my bridesmaids and mom and mom in law to be... I'm so glad that this shop is here... no one should be made to feel like I was and I'm so thankful they see the beauty in each and every bride. Thank you💜

I am SO MOVED By how professional the staff treat these women and help them through there fittings. Abigail x3 You have to remember that fitting and alterations can cost between $500-1,000 dollars and they weren’t clear as to whether or not the over skirt was extra or part of the original gown. That said a veil can be quite expensive depending on if it is silk tulle and the beading and embellishments added to it. It is crazy how expensive gowns have become. It does depend on what fabrics are used and embellishments and the designer .

Too bad the cost is out of reach for most young women who work an average job and struggle to just make ends meet. It is expensive to be large and I should know. I have been overweight my whole life and was a plus size bride in 1989 and never would have been able to afford this. It is nice to see that there is much more choice these days and that there is such a shop out there.

I don't believe I've seen a single episode where a minimum price is stated. The brides have all given their budget and have found something that they love within budget. I think that if someone is struggling to make ends meet, then they will likely have a hard time finding a wedding dress, regardless of their size...

I love the 1st couple! They remind me of my husband and I. Our wedding was scheduled for May 25 2019 but sadly, his mother passed away unexpectedly due to an aortic aneurysm May 19th..just 6 days before our wedding so we postponed it even though his family wanted us to go ahead with it because his mother would have wanted that but we just couldn't. We were emotional wrecks at that time so we rescheduled it for July 13th to give ourselves a little bit to get passed the initial devastation/shock. Thankfully the venue & vendors were very understanding & were willing to postpone it without losing our money. July 13th gets here....Hurricane Barry decided to blow through Louisiana!😅 We both said we don't care, we're getting married with or without a wedding so we took some witnesses and headed to the preachers house! lmao We didn't get our big wedding then but we're renewing our vows next year on our 5th Anniversary, July 13 2024.😊 We still have all the decorations, clothes, etc, including the beautiful flower girl basket & ring bearer pillow that my mil made.❤ I'm SO excited for my husband to finally see me in my wedding dress!🥰 Do y'all know how hard it's been to not show him the dress the past 4 years?!!!🫣😅 I'm so happy when I see other people who have found this kind of happiness too!!
