Vistas of shining seas and rolling hills, rocks and canyons, sky, sun and moon. Flora and Fauna, fur, fin and wings. Eyes, hair and skin. Darkness of night to the brightness of day. Deliberate intent went into coloring everything. Try creating it yourself....only then will you realize how "BIG" the "small things" really are. ; ) Privilege in the experience of life, totally agree!

@R Gamer Another clueless comment. In order for glasses to work (since they only exaggerate wavelengths your eyes aren't as sensitive to), you not only need all your photo receptors to work, but it also matters which ones! If it's not green-red or Deuteranopia type, you can't get any meaningful effect. So this guy already saw most colours and only had a mild green-red type condition. Glasses made a difference, but he'll never come CLOSE to what people with healthy vision see. The more educated you are, the quicker the world looses its magic. But I prefer to know why things are the way they are instead of calling them "love, magic, miracle" or make stupid metaphors that couldn't be more wrong.

As a parent I wanted him to have that experience of being apart of society no matter if he was blind. After covid 19, I'm going to do whatever it takes to get my son these glasses. The expression and gratitude on this man's and his beautiful bride's faces have made me egar to experience the same for us. That blue is amazing to me. I have not had the privilege to see a rainbow in person yet with my glasses, but I’m looking forward to it. The world is so much richer and prettier then I ever knew. What a great woman. Lucky man. A lot of women would not want it to be about something other than them. When he said "you see this ever day" was incredible. How much we take for granted is insane. So glad he gets to experience this.

I'm crying my eyes out. The person who came up with the idea of this glasses is a genius
@AWingedOne4 жыл бұрын
@City17.76 Its definitely the marketing that sells the glasses but the science behind it isn't fake. Red and green wavelengths are long and medium respectively so using special refraction and polarization the lenses can separate and/or move wavelengths, kind of how optical glasses change the depth of focus forward or backward, these do the same thing along the visible light spectrum. No, it's not going to help everyone, no they aren't going to see "new" colors and for sure these videos are genius, but I wouldn't completely write them off, it's hard to know if 48 volunteers even warrants a statistically significant research project from The University of Granada.

@sutash90434 жыл бұрын
Then healthcare should be free for everyone, same as food and clothes, and no one would pay for anything. Would industries have to pay to produce those things which are going to be free for everyone? And if that was free too, then what would be the purpose of money? I'd say let's better make essential things affordable to everyone. Not free.

@@brynnie. that's such a terrible thing to say! How many people in your opinion have $400 or the equivalent in their own currency just laying around to spend? I know families that earn per month the equivalent of $700 ($350 each parent). And they need to pay rent, food, provide for kids with that. I don't think I have ever in my life spent "in the mall" more than $40 in a full month. Your comment is just such an ignorant thing to say, like "don't like being poor? Just get some money". If she could afford those glasses, she would have had them. You, commenting on how you think people just have that sort of money on their account no problem and choose to spend it on silly things at the mall, is very upsetting and frankly, ignorant. I'm not saying that nobody is spending $400 in a mall, just that if somebody doesn't have sth that would make their life better (like the above mentioned glasses) they definitely wouldn't choose to buy shoes and purses instead

Candles, tea, candy and perfume etc. So this guys surprise is so touching. "You see like this every day?" Priceless!
@k.s.k.77214 жыл бұрын
I had a friend in high school who had no sense of smell or taste. When she was 18, it was discovered she had a benign tumor on her pituitary. They did the brain surgery and not only did she gain smell & taste, she grew 3 inches! So whatever that thing was, it held back so many things for her. She gained weight (she was always skinny and short), and had a great senior year.
