They were the reason for the marriage, as in the marriages were usually arranged. The couple often didn't have a say in it. Love marriages were rare. The idea of marrying for love is new in human history.

I love how the twin sister was so supportive of her choice. As a twin her sister wanted to be so different from her to go for a totally specific different style, but Niki not only didn't chastise her for picking a similar style, but encouraged her to pick the one they both agreed looked best on her even if it was similar. As a sister, that's my way of saying, "I know what you're trying to do, but you can stop looking now. I don't care if you may look like having the same dress as me, it's not a contest even if we joke about it. Trust your instincts, this is the one"

I was thinking the same, she also mentioned sleeves and they didn't go in that direction at all. Obviously the first dress was lovely but I think immediately putting her in the one style she asked NOT to have was a strange choice...just try a few different fishtails first.

@@killphaser25 Mermaid wouldn't suit her body type. It's a structure nota material. In fact pretty hard to do in satin. Satin on a classic looks like a nightie (great for the wedding night). Loose satin is for naturals. Why did you want her to try dresses that won't suit her? The problem for classics is they look Ok in any thing, so it's difficult to choose.

I agree. So scripted for drama. Bride asked for not a ball gown, David insisted she try a ballgown first and then criticized her for looking at and choosing a ballgown. The 2nd dress was such a poor choice by David. They definitely should have tried a few other gowns. Surely they have better options. She looked lovely in the one she picked and it is different from her sister's. Lovely bride.

Out of all fishtail dresses they picked the most unflattering one for her to try. Awful awful fit. Knowing this store I wouldn’t be surprised if they did do this on purpose. If the bride shows strong interest in first dress they give her a really awful second dress to make her go back to first. Compare this to Gok who wants the bride to try at least three equally flattering choices.

Not all ballgown are the same but i understand that she wants to be different than her sister but just because you want to be different dos'nt mean you should completely throe away the silloutte specially if you think that's what you love and that's what suits you you could see different fabrics and necklines and designs and stuff. I have two sisters and my mother has her wedding this year in summer. We went together shopping for the dress. We all have the same taste. We all want a mermaid dress for our weddings😂 so I kinda get what the bride in this video is talking about it is always kinda strange when ur sister wants the same as you do but now that I am a little older than i was when i was a teen (and always jealous of my sisters) I think even when we all want the same shape of dress we all kinda have different tastes. Like my mother's dress is beautiful but she tried one dress on she really didn't liked on herself but I loved this one it had sparkle on the top, a low back and the skirt was plain white. For her and my sisters taste was it not enough sparkle on the skirt but I loved it.

I get annoyed when the bride asks for one thing and they make her try on something she said she didn’t want first. Especially when it’s the first time trying on, there’s a huge chance you’re going to love that feeling you get and it can change how you thought you wanted to look. Give the bride what she wants and adjust from there. It would’ve been nice for her to have a couple dresses in what she asked for before the ball gown because everything after wasn’t going to work. But she looked beautiful and the sister was so supportive.

Ya gotta love how they follow the budget not. Budget of 3 grand show them a dress a third of that. Budget of £1500 almost every dress is over by several hundred. They ne er seem to have one under the budget. 😂😂

The neckline on the first one is very unflattering. The diamantes are very garish and tacky and kind of take over her face. Otherwise, with just plain slightly lower lace neckline it would be stunning. The colour of the skirt really suits her. The second one is awful. That is the worst way to do panel with satin because it would make anyone look overweight. The skirt is then finished off with an old fashioned table cloth and there is way too much detail on top so it's really unbalanced. But this girl has issues if she is trying to outdo her sister at her wedding
