I just wish that more people could watch this series.Honestly,we can learn a lot from this! From hatred to revenge and at the end there is a realization,there is love for family and peace! How I wish that movies are like this,not lust and sex,just to earn money. We need series or movies that would remind people that we only live once and that we have to promote love for everyone around us and this would really make the world a better place to live!❤

The writers love story of Garip and Esma was written with perfection. They gave Garip the dignified death he deserved. I usually fast forward through these Turkish funeral procession because the writers always have so much screaming and crying and hysterics in them, but they gave Garip the dignified funeral he needed. This was the best written love story of an elderly couple I've ever seen, the blending of them in the Summer of their lives and love and then with the winter of their lives and love was genius! Bravo to the writers and the actors that played Esma and Garip!!

I'm a trained Psychiatric Nurse. I find the series very interesting especially this one. Esma is outstanding in her role, Garib just so excellent. I admire Sorayee support for her mother in law, so beautiful. Thumbs up for all her sons, and players. A huge funeral in Turkey, so beautiful to see the whole ceremony. Don’t understand why another person wasn’t cast as Murat since it’s a true story. So he should have been there with his mother. Its seem as if she don’t have a younger son. These past few episodes have been so emotional and sadness throughout this story but this family and friends have always stood together. Would loved to see this story continue until the children grow up together. However, they did show Yaz as a teenager in episode 181 talking to a therapist about her mother killing her grandmother. That was strange. Such a lovely drama be looking forward to watching from the U.S.A. Thank for the translation

Am thankful they didn’t continue with the yaz storyline it was too weird. it was odd trying to go to the future it didn’t work out also liked that they did not continue with sureyya being seen by the therapist. would have been too much and not everyone needs a therapist to walk through their difficulties.

Gunes has an interesting take on Adem bringing Garip back into Esma's life. There would've been another way. Garip was destined to cross Esma's path again. I think that everything with Adem triggered and accelerated Esma's Alzheimer's. She's only 61 years old or so, yet Alzheimer's has ravaged her in a year. She endured unbelievable stress. At the same time, she wouldn't have grown as she has without everything surrounding Adem.

I like that she has found solace in his death via her disease; otherwise, she would have been too distraught to lose him all over again. I like Gunes but how is she managing a busy store and now a life as a mom to be? And isn't that store in Istanbul? I could never figure out the distance Bursa to "the city." Seemed like it was hours?

@@sophiekamveris4966 I'm afraid Esma will experience Garip's death again and again. She's being sedated and sleeping a lot, so she must be dreaming of him. Even without Alzheimer's, it's common in the weeks after someone has suddenly died to wake up and not be quite sure if they actually died or you dreamed it. As for commuting from Bursa to Istanbul, you correctly pointed out we're talking hours of traffic each way. Even if she had a driver and could work/sleep during the ride, she'd have endless work. Supposedly, she's the director of a fashion house now (not just managing some store that carries fashions from various designers). So there's no way.

These are my favourite turkish series excluding Instanbulu Gelin from this list: Kiralik ask(the actor who plays Fikret is in this series), Erkenci Kus, Cesur Ve Guzel(the actor who plays Garip is in that series), Kara para ask, Strawberry smell.

Siren beautiful classy young and stylish acted out her character extremely well, and so courageously polished to a T. Freaky buzz when she blatantly called out Faruk as Osman. Hilariously funny, but that's just the way she's cut out to be, straight off the beaten track, upfront tactless, no scruples, no sorrow, no remorse, unapologetic, and yet comically funny. After Esma Garip dated young ladies only, by the way none over 40yrs, However Esma was Garips first girlfriend, she was his youngest girlfriend she was his oldest wife and she was his last LADY the Queen Esma so to mention. Brilliant, Soulful and Encapturing within
