What were the water levels at the time her disappearance ? Water levels change, water flows faster, could faster flowing water cause a car or truck to move farther out and down a river? Your doing a good thing for the families Thank You for what your doing.

I was so hoping you would find Marty. In 1998 my brother fell asleep at the wheel of his truck and the next day he was found in a shallow creek just outside of his home town. It had been raining and the creek had risen. There was one tiny piece of his truck sticking out. I could not imagine not knowing what happened to him. You guys do such a good job. Everytime you guys go out for a search, I pray you bring these people home.

@@SusieQ1971 When a person falls asleep at the will, there are no skid marks on the road. This can be said for suicide victims as well, but his truck rolled and was pretty beat up. Also, he was married with two toddlers and a baby in the way. He had pulled doubles for two solid weeks to make ends meet. He had bought groceries for the family, baby food, and he had apparently bought his daughter a Birthday present for her upcoming birthday. All this told investigators he had no plans on suicide. There was no evidence of fowl play either. He is gone and now I tell people, no job, bill or any other issue is worth making yourself so tired you cannot but then get behind the wheel anyway. My husband and I will pull over and take a nap on long trips if we need to. I have missed him all these years and so has the rest of the family.

I'm so sorry for the loss of ur bro, I know that heartbreak of losing close family. I had lost my 4 bros to suicides n murders in 1980 to 88, these were the worst heartbreaks in my life, even time hasn't healed the loneliness that I constantly feel for them. We had lost our mom at 4 to 8 yrs old in 1967, I'm forever grateful that we hadn't been split up, we had lived with our grandpa n family on his ranch, we had remained close n had gone thru so much as kids n tried to do our best in everything that we had done. They were my protectors, my strength, courage n reason for continuing on especially after I had lost them. So please always be forgiving of each other as families, especially ur siblings, love, cherish n be accepting of each other always, no matter. God bless*

Watching your videos it makes me realize how lucky I am. Back on December 4th, 1986 I was driving to go meet my mother to go Christmas shopping. I was the tender age of 18. For my graduation my parents bought me a brand new Ford Escort, I was very gentle on the car because I was proud of the gift my parents gave me. I was driving on a road that was partially dirt. I remember the road had new large gravel rocks on it so I wasn't driving fast with hopes of keeping a rock from damaging my car or the shiny red paint. The road had an old wooden one-lane bridge so it wasn't a road where speed was on your side. I crossed the one-lane bridge and soon approached a curve. I entered the curve and when I came out of the curve I remember turning the steering wheel and nothing happened. There was a deep river that followed the dirt road. My car went down an embankment and into the river. I didn't have on a seatbelt and ended up in the floor of the front passengers' side of the car. I reached up and opened the door and fell into the water. I made it back to the river bank, when I looked back my car was completely submerged under water and you could see it. I used tree roots to pull myself up the embankment back to the road. It happened to be the first day of doe season and I was yelling for help. By chance, there was a man hunting that heard me. He came out of the woods and rode down the road until he found me. I was soaking wet and covered in mud. He put me in his truck to warm me up and take me to meet my mom which was waiting for me about 5 miles away. As we left the scene of the accident we passed another hunter that was very close to the accident but never bothered to offer me help when I was walking down the road yelling for someone to please help I'd been in an accident. Normally this road is not traveled. Once I got to my mother she rushed me to the hospital, I needed stitches due to guts from broken glass. Once I left the hospital we went back to the scene of the wreck. The car was still underwater and the recovery truck was waiting for a diver to locate the car and place straps to pull it out of the water. Once the car was removed my uncle got inside and the steering wheel would turn in both directions but the wheels would not move. We were told the last time a car was pulled from the same location it had 3 expired individuals in it. I'm lucky because I survived, these videos make me think if I hadn't survived my family may had went years wondering what happened to me because no one could see the car underwater with me inside it.

@scottys14232 жыл бұрын
Something that might be of some small help in these older cases is measuring the pH of the water body. Natural waters range roughly from 6 to 9. That is a factor of 1000 range in acidity. The lower the pH, the more corrosive the water is and the faster a vehicle will corrode into something unrecognizable. Over a few years this wont make much difference. But over decades it will. After 30 years in pH 6 water you may have a pile of rust with maybe just a rusty frame and portions of the body to hint it was a car. At pH 8 or 9, it will be a rusty but a clearly visible vehicle. On top of that salinity affects it too, and waters near the coast can be somewhat brackish and increase corrosion rates. FWIW.
@babyblueeyes71772 жыл бұрын
That’s excellent information. They could check the water for the PH when they suspect any rust in the water.
@scottys14232 жыл бұрын
@@babyblueeyes7177 Sort of. It might be helpful in giving an idea of how bad the car will be rusted given how long it's been down there. If the "shell" is mostly intact, the remains would likely still be in the vehicle. But if the pH is low and it's been down there a long time, the car body may have completely rusted away leaving the human remains exposed to fish and the effects of the current moving past. Have you noticed in some of the oldest cases they find the car chassis and only empty clothing under a bunch of mud? Then we hear near the end that the medical examiner had found bone fragments. My guess is it would only be helpful in a few cases. But if the pH is rather high, there's a much better chance that decades old case will still lead to a mostly intact car with roof and windows still protecting the evidence. OTOH I'm not sure what they might do differently given the pH info at the start. Maybe just have better picture of what to look for on the scope.
@sharonrevell80962 жыл бұрын
is that for a new body in a river? Cause 30 years on, i think that PH level will change with sun, warmth coldness etc

In other words if the water is acidic, it eats it. Same w your internal body👍I'm into ph, good take

@@GoBlueGirl78 There could be small variations but not too much. Even in a stagnant pond there are forces that result in dissolved compounds dispersing over the whole area. Diffusion is the random motion of molecules and will lead toward uniform mixing. Also, acids are attracted to bases as they neutralize each other. Hence there is a driving force to mix and come to a uniform pH. Then there are the thermal currents that result from daily temperature cycling. Also mixing from rain. OTOH the water that might be trapped inside the car, as in all the windows up, will develop some different chemistry than outside the car; especially in the first few months after the wreck...for rather obvious and gross reasons. That could have a small increase or decrease in corrosion rate. Also depending on what else may have been inside the car and dissolved in the water. An absurd example just to illustrate, might be if someone had been buying groceries before the crash and had bought a bottle of bleach. So the car goes under water with doors closed and windows up. There are still cracks where water can flow in and out but it's very restricted compared to if a window was down. If the bottle got ruptured, then you can expect that any biological decay will be greatly reduced for months until that bleach slowly gets neutralized.

Shallow water doesn't really mean anything, especially for a smaller vehicle. Just look at Kyle Clinkscales that was found late last year in cusseta al, way off his suspected route from la grange ga to auburn, Missing since 76' in a 74' Ford pinto. He was found about a mile from my uncle's house and I've driven past where they found him dozens of times and never would have suspected a car being there because the waterway was so small and shallow. He was found because the latch on the rear hatch rusted out, the hatch opened and was actually sticking out of the water.. just making the point that shallow water, especially after decades and when dealing with smaller vehicles, can not be written off.

I did a case study on the happy face killer this past spring for college, he will happily lie to take credit for murders he didn't do so that's something to be careful with. Keith Jesperson picked his victims by women he thought no one would miss, women who seemed down on their luck and he could convince to come with him. In my experience of looking at how he went about his crimes I believe the car would have be found because in his confirmed kills and the book he wrote (it's disgusting and you have to weed through his lies) leads me to believe he never hid a vehicle, he was more the type to grab the woman and leave the state. Jesperson has told everyone that he's only killed the eight, that he's killed over 168 and that he hasn't killed at all, so you have to be careful with what he says.

As always, the editing is top notch! I remember hearing about this case many times over the years, and am hopeful that if anyone can find her, AWP can! Like everything else, in due time. That’s what I love about you guys, you never give up. I truly do believe in my heart that she’s there somewhere, you just have to wait until conditions are perfect enough to reveal her truck.

You people do such great work, with hearts of gold, each and everyone of you. For cases like this, where you have house boats they may have only been there a few years, it must be hard to rule out anything being under them. I think it would be great if you could get sponsored by a company that makes very small remote control underwater rv's, equipped with both a camera and some kind of sonar. Just to help rule out things like newer house boats that may have been sited over a vehicle of interest unknowingly.

I love what these guys do! Great intro showing some of the missing people they have uncovered. It actually is amazing too, the more I watch and see just how many people they find makes me also realise how many people go missing this way! Before this I would have never really consciously realised people would go missing like this. NOW I still can't fathom how many people it actually happens to!!! Very eye opening.

AWP, you all are truly the best kind of people. Thank you so much for what you do. PLEASE look into the case of Tony Bledsoe from Arcadia, IN. He left his house with barely any gas or money heading to nearby Noblesville, IN. He left all of his personal belongings at home. Both he and his truck have been missing since. The license plate reads TJSTOY.

AWP should look into the case of Brian Joseph "Joe" Page. He was last seen leaving a party in Oregon with his friend on January 12, 1975. He was driving a 1962 turquoise Volkswagen Bug with Oregon plates 7P3626, which has never been found. Such a strange case. Its unbelievable he's never been found after all this time!

I have to agree with this other person here that if you don't contact them ... they don't know to look for him . You probably have to email them ... and maybe give them a few more details and tell them who you are ... are you a concerned friend ...are you an actual family member ... but please contact them ... the sooner the better .
@gardensofthegods2 жыл бұрын
I just looked up his case and I think there's a real good possibility that guy David who was having the real bad Acid trip and later told the police that he had been in Hell ... I think there's a good possibility he killed Joe . I think that because of his erratic behavior , the fact that Joe got in the car with him because the people at the party told him to go out there and follow him while David was having a bad acid trip and ran out of the place .... ... and then you find out David ends up stealing a car from a dealership and racing it down the main street . Wild behavior . It's really a shame the people there at the party talked him into running out after David ... too bad David didn't say I'm not going after him alone he might be too hard to handle ... but the poor guy was only 16 . I really wish that they can find him and get answers because I can't imagine seeing your brother at a party and people telling him to run out the door and then you never see him again . Terrible for the family and makes me sick that the police listed him as a run away which means they probably didn't even bother to look for him , despite the fact that the parents and family insisted he was a good kid and had no reason to run away . Yes please please send an email to adventures with purpose and make sure you tell them the other stuff about the party the guy on acid and everything else and that he was falsely listed as a runaway which means they never looked for him

This is heart wrenching, seriously devastating. I'm literally googling for Ford Rangers years 1984-86 models, for sale/parts/anything (I think those models match the truck best though I can be wrong). This family needs answers! One of the details here that worries me is the fact the truck was a non-starter at the gas station until the brother came and jumped it. This could open up the possibility of her breaking down again further down the line and at that point who knows what could happen to her, stranded alone in the night.
@bookcat1232 жыл бұрын
True, but if it had actually broken down along her route, why wouldn’t it have been found? Someone not only kidnaps her, but bothers to fix and then move the car?

Natalie Jones’ hot pink car was right off the road in a small clearing and nobody saw it. Marty’s truck being brown definitely camouflages it. Many years ago, there was a case in Texas where the car launched up into the trees and was suspended upside down just off the road. A glint of sun off the taillight caught a passerby’s eye, and they went over to take a look.

I would look for her, not within 5 miles radius of mom's house but within 5 miles radius of the wedding reception location it is a big possibility she told her brother at a gas station that she is going to their mothers and once on hwy she changed her mind and decided to return to the wedding reception because she promised that she will back and to pick up her belongings from the bride car.
