Yea where I live there would be lots of evidence of fishing(fishermen trash)at a place that accessible.
@alotek2408 Жыл бұрын
I had a nice spot like this for about 2 years, then someone posted it on FishBrain. Now the whole place is covered in trash (line, hooks, beer cans, styrofoam bait containers, etc.). Makes me so damn sad. I fill up a big trash bag every time I am there, but I can't keep up with it :(
@Brian-vd4mg Жыл бұрын
@@alotek2408 yep this is what happens in my area to every accessible spot. I’m getting a Kayak when I decide to get back out fishing mostly to get to spots with no pressure.
@alotek2408 Жыл бұрын
@@Brian-vd4mg Yea, it's so sad. I do a lot of fishing by myself in "far to reach" places with a Kayak, etc. and it's amazing. But at the same time I think I get the most enjoyment in taking my nephews/nieces fishing to accessible places, and it's a god damn shame that people can't pick up their trash. I feel embarrassed showing them places where I've fished for years that are now completely littered with trash. What is so HARD about putting your trash away in your bag or backpack, whatever you bring with you? :(

Just a small tip, FWIW. I put a spot of white paint at 18”, 19”, two at 20”, and another at 21” up from rod butt. Gives you a quick measurement for a big fish if you’re away from the ruler (like today). 😊

I can hear the smallies talking right now "I don't know about ya'll, but I just lost my taste for crayfish; and when did they start biting back like that?" I'm retired now, but I'd of loved to have had a spot like this-what a great spot to unwind after a long day at work. An hour there and you'd be back to normal. Good stuff Matt. God bless.

Fantastic as always, bedder dan Saturday morning cartoons. That concrete pad looks mighty steep, one false move or one misstep and you get a chance to see how cold that water really is. But as usual you handle the obstacles with ease. You've set the bar mighty high for bass fishing videos, keep it up Matt.

I like how that's like a bfs setup but not an actual bfs setup. I might have to try that with one of my poles.
@ndyakangler Жыл бұрын
I use that setup a lot this time of year for throwing light jigs and plastics and weightless wacky worms. The combination of the Daiwa SV spool and running 15lb braid to a 12lb fluoro leader gets some great casting distance with those light lures and I don’t end up with a birds nest like I eventually would with spinning gear and reeling a somewhat slack line.
@mikecollins2476 Жыл бұрын
@@ndyakangler yea sometimes I forget how fun light line is. I put some 8lb copoly on my 4000 spinning reel and that thing casts as far as some of my baitcasters now and when you catch one you actually get to fight it a little bit. I bet it's a riot on a baitcaster.
