How’s that spot in may. I’m coming from Michigan to vacation FM area and we’re actually staying close to that spot.

I have not personally tried the bridge in May but I have to assume it would still be pretty good. There’s tons of moving water, structure, and bait usually hanging there which is the main things to look for. I would definitely fish it on an incoming/outgoing tide 👍🏼

Thank you for the comment! Yes, is too. Unfortunately, hurricane Ian had other plans the last several months. We are hoping to be posting an update on the boat in the coming week, though! 🤙🏼

Great video! I think I found your page through Willie’s. I’m in Cape Coral and fish matlacha more than anywhere else. Have you hit the Big Carlos pass bridge yet? If so, how is fishing there since the hurricane?

Great to meet you, thanks for watching! Would love to come up and fish with you sometime! So my brother and I actually went to big carlos pass bridge during filing this video. We were grabbing shrimp from our favorite bait shop down here Bait N’ Wait and the owner John recommended it. I have fished big Carlos pre-Ian from our boat but never off the bridge. John said it has been absolutely on FIRE, extremely good fishing. Unfortunately we were there for about an hour and had a few bites but nothing landed. Conditions were not great as we were on a big incoming tide swing so current was absolutely ripping through there. Also had several dolphins show up after about 15 minutes of being there so that never helps though I am sure under a slower/tide change it would be phenomenal. Honestly from what we have been seeing the whole Estero Bay up through pine island sound has just been phenomenal fishing. We are hoping to get access to our boat again soon 🤞🏼 and out there to capitalize - boat update is hopefully our next video.

Absolutely. I have a small Gheenoe right now. It’s something that gets me and my little one on the water to get him and I used to being out on the water. Thinking of grabbing some fiddlers tomorrow and some shrimp and get out under one of the bridges somewhere or hit some docks. Haven’t quite decided where yet.

That’s awesome man! As you know, this area has more shallow water out there than deep so I am sure that puppy gets you into some amazing untouched backwaters! Send us a DM on instagram - would love to line up a day to go with you or have you up by us or both! Have a good weekend!
