So far, this is the best learning to play bridge video that I have seen. My aunt talked me into joining her bridge group, and I find it very complicated. One thing I learned, though, is that the suits lowest to highest are in alphabetical order, clubs, diamonds, hearts, and spades.

I play a lot of card games but Bridge has always frightened me. You broke it down so well. Now that you have explained the basics can you get a little more into the strategy. I understand the card counting. I understand the trick taking. But I need to learn more about the bidding. And the strategy of what to play to control the game.

i AM TAKING bridge lessons with one more to go but still very complicated language of bidding and communicating to your partner. Hope to see more videos. Don't life the sinister sound!!!

I agree with other comments, you have a way to present difficult material with simple approach. Not many videos are so easy to understand. Please, keep making other lessons. Your video is the best I came across so far.

Bridge is great. When I was in college, a group of us learned how to play. We became addicted. On the weekends we would play all night. Nothing else mattered. We didn't want to stop to eat, LOL. We would switch partners. We got good at bidding and playing the cards. I was pretty proud of myself for delivering on dicey contracts. It was a fun time. Great game.

I love how in-depth you are in this video but the sound in between each section of the video is so jarring it's hard to watch and or listen to.

in the Arabic game of bridge which is called terniep you start bidding at 7 then 8 etc seems silly to start at 1 but in reality it's 7

This is a good lesson however that awful screeching sound in between lessons made it completely unwatchable.

You neglected to mention that the Dummy's hand is put down AFTER the opening lead by the player to the left of Declarer. This is VERY important!

That has to be one of the most obnoxious transition sounds you could have chosen. I barely got halfway before I abandoned the video. Come on man, its borderline a jumpscare if you wear headphones. Not good.

I was taught that the first card had to be played before the dummy laid down his hand….good to know

That fricking sound between chapters of this video, its so grating, please don't use that anymore. Its like something from a horror film. Very good video tho apart from that.

Why do they have to make 9 tricks, where is the 6 plus 3 coming from??
@PuzzlingGames2 ай бұрын
1 is 7 tricks, 2 is 8 tricks, 3 is 9 tricks, etc. they assume if you win the contract you will get 6 tricks in playing
@AldousHuxleysCatАй бұрын
That noise that you are playing between segments needs to be changed. I'm assuming a lot more people than just me listen to this on headphones or earpods and it's not a good noise and basically I'm going to stop watching because I just can't take it anymore. Looks like a good tutorial but not worth the ear damage
@MichaelMatijevich7 ай бұрын
I don't care for all the artificial bidding and only three of the four players play the hand on every hand.
@PuzzlingGames7 ай бұрын
There is a real art to bidding conventions that I just didn’t get into. People usually love bidding more than the gameplay.
