Parsee is based on the legend of Hashihime. She was a noblewoman who became so jealous of her husband's infidelity, that she prayed to a deity to make her into a demon of jealousy and wrath to enact her revenge. The deity taught her a ritual which transformed her (You can see this in the video here where she covers herself in red paste and puts flaming sticks in her hair and teeth). With her now an Oni her eyes burned green with jealousy still. She was supposed to have been sealed away in a shrine on a bridge in Uji but I guess in the Touhou fandom she ended up in Gensokyo.

Apparently that's a Mihashira Torii gate, a structure that has 3 sides, representing the holy trinity. I think it makes sense since the video that KamS here has a lot of christian symbolism since Jealousy is one of the seven deadly sins. (I just learned about this today thanks to my girlfriend so yeah. Today I learned that.)
