Bridge Officer Rotation - Star Trek Online

Hey Guys, in this video i go over my thought process when making a rotation, things that i have on the spam bar and things that should be manual click since the timing of there activation is important.
In Star Trek Online the build concepts are extremely in depth, so my aim is to help people learn things that i have picked up on the way and things that i have been shown but other long time players.

Getting abilities to trigger with the right timing is indeed one of the great challenges of STO. Especially if the player has to struggle against the random server performance

the issue with BOFF seats disappearing after the latest patch is common. Every new patch new issues arise, but the point is in most of the times they do not fix the previous issues at all.....I think Cryptic have a saboteur on their ship :)

I like this and will change my rotations (and maybe get less CSV misfires!). I'd love to know how you set up your spam bars script. I used that program that makes you one but it goes backwards through the trays after forwards and I'm sure there must be a more optimum way.

Helpful vid as always. Any recommendations on key bind builders? I'm just too lazy to type it all out :D. Key binds are the one thing that I haven't gotten round to yet in STO and my DPS does suffer as a result.

This is the first time a STO KZbinr has ever explained this concept, so thank you! This is probably a silly question, but how does the spam bar work? Is there a reason the abilities are slotted into the specifically number trays? (Like CSV in tray 10, and your Uncon procs in tray 5?)

So basics explanation is that my spam bar is when I click space it activates everything in order from left to right on trays 10 then 5 in order so if the bar is down on tray 5 but something comes of cd on tray 10 it will activate that since, so basically my trays are order in such firing modes big buffs gave first preference, uncons are last since I won’t them to cool down as much as possible and at the end works best

Avoid switching ships in space, as it's been causing weird issues, like the BOffs disappearing thing.

Don't you just love STO's habit of disappearing BOFF seating whenever you actually want to modify it... I really need to get around to key-binding stuff in game.

Why put your firing mode first and EPTw later? Don't you want EPTw before your firing mode to buff it?

I keep hearing people calling it a "spam bar". Is that something like a key macro or just "they are position conveniently for easy clicking" ?

Key macro so space bar for me activates everything on my rows 10 and 5

Also worth noting that this macro functionally is built into PC STO, it just normally requires using a slash command or editing a text file to setup, and not an external program (so no ban risk).

@@tom611 Any tutorials on how to actually go about it (including setting up the UI ?) I tried it only once in FF14 and they had some kind of ”program” were you just dragged in the function you wanted and it kind of ”wrote” itself.

@@gusty9053 Not sure we're allowed to post links in the comments, but if you search 'sto keybinds' there's guides out there, usually to use an external program to make the text file, as slash commands are limited in size. There isn't a built-in UI for it, it's just typing '/keybind Space ' and then the functions.
