How do you like that certifier? I’ve been using it for about a year now and it works for what I need. There are many Fluke people who say that isn’t a certifier but it pays the bills so I use it till I can get something different.

LOVE IT! "Hardcore" techs give us "static" for using them. For big projects we use the Fluke but for everyday projects we provide the cabling reports via the RWC. It gives our clients that extra touch! Most people can't even understand a Fluke report....we bailed out a company working for Lowes the other day. The techs didn't understand what they were reading.....we came in and repaired the faulty jacks. Anyway.....love the RWC tester...have 6 in stock and our teams have them onboard. $325 to show the client 100% the install was perfect? #priceless!

I own 2 of them. Both with usb intrface (old version used a serial interface). They work great if you use them correctly. If you can invest $12k on a Fluke great for you but small businnes cant affort them or even rent them for $500! The Rwc1000 is not a compliance.certifier... it just "certify" the wire meet the spected speeds and it is correctly terminated... no delays, aceptable skews time, no splits, opens, shorts. Crosstalk test are also performed during the test process. The reports are clear and easy to understand. The user interface is the worst I ever seen LOL!

We had to chuckle on the interface remark....yes, very basic. One older tech broke the screen.....kept thinking it was a touchscreen. Your comments are on point......we can supply each of our lead techs with these units. $500 for a unit to run reports and have PDF cabling reports.......we can rent or issue the $12000 Fluke for larger jobs or ones that require. We have to be honest....new construction calls for Fluke reports as most just follow template requirements. We send them the RWC.....and 90% of the time it's fine with the GC or IT Directors we work with.

A bit misleading to call them "certifiers" it does show the install is done correctly, but it can at best be called a "qualifier" which tests the network speed that a cable can support. Fluke has one that can qualify up to 10gig, but still isn't a certifier. So it isnt a bad tool, just a misleading name to make people think you can certify a cable for only 300 bucks

I heard you and get the comments and with the Fluke this is a excellent tool in place of it. Call Trip Lite, which brought out Byte Brothers, they seem to think it's a cert tester :)

Works for folks that "DEMAND" a Fluke test :) Great for everyone to carry.....rather then $12K per tech! :)
