The amount of times I’ve rewatched GOT simply because I’m invested in reaction channels watching GOT is ridiculous 😂 Very happy you two have decided to start this. The opening scene of this series did such a great job of planting the idea that there was more to this world than what the rest of the season would show. Everything else is so grounded in realism that you forgot what is beyond the Wall. But whenever mentions of the days of magic, magical creatures, and White Walkers no longer existing or even being questioned to have existed at all, you always end up being reminded of that opening scene.

Fun fact for the Targaryens, their actually supposed to have literally pure white hair and piercing purple eyes, they’d stand out to an extreme anywhere. Also, Dany is 12 in the books, about 15/16 in the show. Oh and also also, there are supplemental videos people have made on KZbin detailing the lore and knowledge not adapted from the books for each season, they can help give a greater understanding of the setting overall.

This show was so good I binged all 8 seasons in one month. Including house of the dragon. Welcome to the madness of the seven kingdoms! Definitely watch the intro each time 1. Because the GOT theme is 🔥🔥 and 2. It shows you the layout of the map of the kingdom and adds a new area if we are seeing a new setting in the episode!

5:00 plot twist.... maybe that dude was the main character and George R.R. Martin decided to kill him off in the first scene, then had to write a whole new story, just because that's how GRRM rolls. He's like..." okay... I think in this scene this character has to die. Well, there go my plans for that character." It's like the story is being told to him in whispers from some mischievous imp, and he just does what the deranged imp says. That's pretty much how the story unfolds, too.
