I guess because I've seen all of S3 I actually love Homelander's character. He is such a necessary piece of the show and Antony's portrayal is phenomenal! It is somewhat rare to have such great acting that people begin to genuinely hate or love a character and without Antony and Homelander The Boys would not have been near as successful! Cant wait for the next episode because it's fun just rewatching them on my own. The show is just too good!

The brilliance of Homelander's characterization here is that he's the PERFECT symbol for a certain brand of false patriotism in this country: the type that's less about ideals, innovation, or a sense of community, and more about superiority, warmongering, and prejudice. So of COURSE literal Nazis aren't a dealbreaker for him (even though they represent something millions of Americans died defeating). And it's not like we haven't seen examples of that sort of "patriotic" thinking in real life recently.

The funny thing about assuming America = hostile to Nazis is that this Stormfront plot (like Hyrda in Marvel) is based on some real history. I'd recommend looking up operation paperclip, or Wherner Von Braun... the Saturn V rocket that put Neil Armstrong on the Moon was designed by the same guy who built Hitler's V2 Vengeance weapon... he was an SS Major. US has always been open to making use of Nazis where it suits them, lol

Don't call them things... Its a relatively minor layer, but I think it is safe to say that Stormfront is Jewish, but she was hit hard with associating with the enemy coping mechanism. She was a victim of human trial, but lucked out when her experiment turned out to be success. First success after hundreds if not thousands failures.
