I loved the duality of the first time he goes to the gay bar vs. the first episode. You can see it's packed in this episode with people out having a good time, versus in the first episode when he goes and it's empty other than the 3 men he approaches to buy drinks. He legitimately terrorized everyone into avoiding that establishment by the time he gets caught.

O.K. let me just say that as a Christian this is series is so hard to watch. I like a good horror film, I even play horror games and it's all fine because of course I know it's all fake. This show tho, knowing this really happened and the victims really went through this horrifying ordeal before They were killed. Knowing that by Jeffrey Dahmer was a real person just sends an uneasy, uncomfortable feeling throughout my soul! I remember when he was caught and watching them haul that barrel out of his apartment. On a side note can I just say that yes I get that when his grandma said he needed prayer, he was way beyond that but the way you reacted felt like you were mocking people that are Christian or that believe in God. His grandma wasn't being " homophobic" she was only trying to help him the best way she knew how.

I dont believe he was born "that way", whatever that implies, cause it implies a lot, I dont belive anybody is born to be a killer just like anybody is born to be a Dentist who votes republican. But as one psychologist once well put it "nature is a loaded gun, and nurture is the trigger". He had genes from both parents with depression and his mom ate a lot of drugs while pregnant, so thats nature, and then he just got a shitload of nothing good in his life that isolated him from other humans, from society, from life. What a tormented existence to just experience time after time after time that NOBODY likes you, every body picks on you, as well as you have a lot of shame and guilt for being homosexual. Everything about his life, his family, and what happened to the poor victims and their families is just so very very sad.

I don’t think he was racist because not only was the first kill and couple were different race, he had a relationship with Toby. He really liked him, but he was a Psycho that would have never last.

Jeffrey Dahmer's major advantage was that he was so twisted and vicious that most people wouldn't believe it. And that makes reporting him tricky because you look like the insane one.

Wasn't sure if I was going to watch this show until I seen your reaction to first episode. Binge watched it on Netflix and found it really hard to watch I remember all this coming out back in the 90's was good to learn more about the actual story. Left with the same question, are you born with it or grown into it and I agree with your assessment he was fucked since birth. Love the reactions Hi from Glasgow Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

I worked in a factory environment with about 500 employees and we used to guess who would do a Dahmer, It was 97 and the story of him showering with body parts in the bath before going to work in a factory freaked us out so we would say I wonder if someone here does the same, thankfully there wasn't 😁🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Evan Peters is going to age into 'iconic'.. among the greats. 'Dahmer' is a horrible gut-wrenching series, and it did NOT made me sympathise with Jeff - BUT it made me more aware and understand more about these 'monsters'.
