I loved the duality of the first time he goes to the gay bar vs. the first episode. You can see it's packed in this episode with people out having a good time, versus in the first episode when he goes and it's empty other than the 3 men he approaches to buy drinks. He legitimately terrorized everyone into avoiding that establishment by the time he gets caught.

O.K. let me just say that as a Christian this is series is so hard to watch. I like a good horror film, I even play horror games and it's all fine because of course I know it's all fake. This show tho, knowing this really happened and the victims really went through this horrifying ordeal before They were killed. Knowing that by Jeffrey Dahmer was a real person just sends an uneasy, uncomfortable feeling throughout my soul! I remember when he was caught and watching them haul that barrel out of his apartment. On a side note can I just say that yes I get that when his grandma said he needed prayer, he was way beyond that but the way you reacted felt like you were mocking people that are Christian or that believe in God. His grandma wasn't being " homophobic" she was only trying to help him the best way she knew how.

But as one psychologist once well put it "nature is a loaded gun, and nurture is the trigger". He had genes from both parents with depression and his mom ate a lot of drugs while pregnant, so thats nature, and then he just got a shitload of nothing good in his life that isolated him from other humans, from society, from life. What a tormented existence to just experience time after time after time that NOBODY likes you, every body picks on you, as well as you have a lot of shame and guilt for being homosexual. Everything about his life, his family, and what happened to the poor victims and their families is just so very very sad.
