So, when Ned walked out, he saw Arya on the statue of Baelor the Blessed (old Targ king, not important) That's where she watched from. He knew she was missing from his talks with Varys. He sees her, and right then he walks past and sees Yoren, the Nights Watchman. He said one word to him, beseeching, hopeful, pleading. He said "Baelor!" And Yoren understood as soon as he turned to look at the statue. He recognized Arya immediately. And Ned knew he had her, because he still had the view of the statue. And she was gone.

That last shot of Dany and the 3 dragons is one of my favorite shots in the series! My very favorite is on the final season. The show really is visually stunning. I swear there's some trivia where another show or movie used the prop of Ned Stark's head, but I can't remember what it was.

The interesting thing is all the alternate storylines that could branch off of the different choices. In some stories, you'd say, well, there wouldn't be a story then. But if Sansa pushed Joffrey, that would be an interesting story. If Ned went to the Wall with Jon, that would be interesting. That's why there's so much fanfiction, I guess.

About the ages: Most characters are way younger in the books, yes. On top of my head, Robb is 15, Sansa 13, Arya 10, Bran 9, Rickon's like 5. Joffrey is 12. (Sometimes lines from the show hint at that because they kept them from the books, like when they talk of Robb as "just a boy" even though he looks 25!) The adults too; Eddard/Catelyn/Jaime/Cersei/Robert are all around 35. I think there's only 1 character who they made younger on the show: Walder Frey is 90 in the books, on the show he looks like 50-60.

In Targaryen history, there have been cases where they really had stillborn twisted dragon babies. Maegor the Cruel had dragon babies, Rhaenyra Targaryen had a dragon baby and now Daenerys too. They still display human features tho.

Just like some others have pointed out, the kids are considerably younger in the original book series. Sansa is just 11, and completely enchanted by Cersei just like any 11yo today would be enchanted by any Disney (or real life!) queen. Her "tragic" flaw in the early part of her arc is that she has sincerely believed in a lot of the "songs" (fairy tales) of knights and princesses. Season one has her trying to play the role she's been assigned (she begged for mercy for her father, just like queens of the songs begged their kings for mercy for whatever Hero is at had) and still suffering MIGHTILY and learning the very very hard way that babyyyyyyyy this isn't a song, this is real life.

Only death can pay for life. Dany's baby (Rhaego) pays for Rhaegal the Dragon. Named after Rhaegar. Mirri Maz Durr (witch) pays for Visaerion, named after Visaerys (her brother). And Drogon, named for Drogo.

You're completly wrong. The baby and Drogo were dead before the ritual. Mirri Maz Durr gave the life sacrifice, Drogo his king blood. Dany was the performer and was unharmed by the flames.
