no but most of the americans dont care because when there even is a safety bar there is an 80% chance that the american skier or snowboarder will not put it down

This lift didn't look too safe. There was no safety bar and that pole in the middle could whack skiers when loading. (I've had it happen). Some of these older lifts were not well designed.

Gullom M I bet u don’t know how to load them and if u ire the saftey bar u are a chicken. I never use the bar even on the newest chairlifts out there

Many of those lifts were installed in the 1960s and 1970s. Old age, low uphill capacity, and no safety bar is why they were replaced.

@raidifylifts3309 Umm, I've been skiing for 30 years, but you spell like a first grader. Most places require the bar to be lowered. It doesn't make a difference, though, because I heard this lift was replaced. It was probably also extremely slow.
