I think the song is more about equality between men and women, that's why I like it so much, it's not one-sided. She's singing for both sides. The first time I heard this song i felt happy and inspired. I'm a girl but I still love the verse about guys too. I get annoyed by sexist stuff but most of the time at my school it is actually not common for the guys to make fun of the girls and call us weak. It is mostly directed to the guys who like ballet or singing cause they get called gay and made fun of by guys *and* girls. Most of the time girls don't insult each other for doing sports or playing with cars but for guys they insult themselves. Sometimes it seems that guys have a harder time fitting in.

I am a girl in 5th grade. Everytime the boys in school play a really rough game and I wanna join, they tell me no..... Every year in our Foundation day I want to play in the band and play the drum they say "Are you boy? You can't play in the band!
