This is the type of role model that this generation needs!
@victorcates93308 ай бұрын
yes and no. Not everyone has crazy talent. For some people, it might be more about working hard, bearing your burden with dignity, and being there for people in your life as they need you. And there can be a lit of allure to the genius. Certainly, for some creative geniuses, many cultivated an appearance of indolent, effortless talent - rather than admit that they had to engage in a massive amount of effort. So there's the question of whether we're looking at a 1-in-a-million outlier in intelligence or just someone with the discipline to sit at a desk and study for hours pushing herself. There are likely places for different kinds of role models. I'd love to be a singular genius, but having the dignity of any of my grandparents (who had quiet little lives) would be a decent aim.

My sister loved Good Luck Charlie when she was growing up, and when Bridgit Mendler started releasing music, our house was unsurprisingly filled with her music...for about a year. After that, I basically forgot about her. If someone had brought her up, I would have said, "Oh yeah, the Disney star from Good Luck Charlie," and shrugged her off. Then yesterday I saw people talking about her business startup on Twitter and sat there thinking, "Wait, what?? What on earth has she been doing since she left Disney??" APPARENTLY A LOT! Always nice to see good things coming out of my generation!

Yes and no. If both partners have highly successful careers there will be less time than necessary for the children. You can’t be amazing at both, as much as people try to do it all it’s not possible. Kids suffer from lack of contact and close proximity to their parents. It’s fine to want to have successful careers but if that’s what both partners want + being great parents then a reality check is needed.

But, Bridgit is so inspiring. I grew up watching Good Luck, Charlie and that era of Disney. I see where Demi, Selena, Miley, & the Suite Life cast have gone. But, Bridgit's pursuit is absolutely incredible. She showed me that even if I took this route in life, I can still use the gifts God has given me, and Lord willing if I have a husband and children one day, it can work through Him who gives me strength and all that I need according to HIs glory. Clearly, the Lord can turn lives around-- I pray this same redemption for Demi Lovato. She is clearly so lost. I pray the redemptive love of Jesus over her soul. 🙏

A massive chunk of my playlist is Fall Out Boy, but if that band walked down my street right now in broad daylight, I wouldn't recognize them, maybe not even if I heard them talking (only if I heard singing, and even that's a maybe). So when I say I really gotta keep up with what this absolute madlad of a woman is getting up to, it says a lot. Bridgit Mendler really took a look at Barbie and said "yeah I wanna do that," and when asked which Barbie she wanted to be, replied with "yes." Forget about Taylor Swift being a solid role model for girls, they should be looking at Bridgit Mendler instead. That boy is so unbelievably lucky to have her as his mother

I loved her songs too! This is wild, I had no idea. The best celebrities never get talked about in the mainstream.
