I learned to swim in the Lido. (Well almost) Was a pupil at Westover school. Remember 1st May, going to the lower level pool. Bloody freezing! Jonesy our PT teacher pushing us in, while he was wrapped up in several layers. Hated it!

Not local so never went to it, but seems a shame it closed.. Looked popular. So does the replacement have those things mentioned, like the surf waves n beach effect areas?? Can I just add, the sub-titles need removing as they haven't ever been proof read back & have about a hundred misleading errors in it...

The replacement did indeed have all of those things. It was a great pool which I worked at as a lifeguard when I was younger, but it was flattened in 2009 and it's now a carpark...

The splash lasted a long time dinnit, great memories as a kid

Lido worst they ever done splash what can I say about it hmmmm best bit was probably prince diana open it may she rip xx
