Brief Norfolk Southern Pittsburgh Line Action At Altoona, PA And A Quick Juniata Shops Tour.

Welcome to Altoona, PA! A popular railroad hotspot which is home to the infamous Horseshoe Curve as well as Norfolk Southern's Juniata Shops. In this video we will sadly not visit the curve in this video. In fact, I was not even here to railfan to begin with. If you are a long time viewer... you would know that I'm currently in a long distance relationship with my girlfriend. So I was out there visiting her. But while waiting for my train home being Amtrak Pennsylvanian 42 I did catch some brief NS Action. We catch NS Coal Train 595 making a run for the grade out of downtown Altoona. Next we see NS Manifest 12G coming off the grade entering Altoona. Sadly, I had to cut that clip short since my train came into view. But I grabbed a few more seconds of video upon realizing the DPU was a Union Pacific AC4400CW. And Possibly the cleanest foreign I've ever seen. Finally, I wave goodbye to my girlfriend and then we are underway to head back home. But before leaving completely I'll give you a quick tour of the Juniata Shops where a variety of locomotives are in storage, awating rebuild, or newly purchased.
