Hello Mr Martone. I have been a fan of your work for a long time. I am curious as to the following: What spatulas are you using, and is the leather cover on your snare drum a commercially available product, or is it a borrowed leather jacket? You introduced me to the Miller Machine in late 2019, and I was fortunate enough to be able to meet Mr. Miller late last year. Cannot wait to see what you have in store for 2024. Really focus on technique and get that down to the best of your ability before you go crazy. Setting up a stable foundation is very important.

I’m curious. I just got the list of everything this part requires. Is the drum pad how you’re getting the thigh slap sound?

No the thigh slap is a Gladstone drum pad on the snare drum with a piece of synthetic leather over it. Then you hit it with a spatula.
