AEK fan here. 1st of all let me congratulate you for your manners as fans. Great seeing you lot clapping for the injured AEK player as he was been carried out on a stretcher. Great seeing you clapping when AEK scored. Thats what football should be all about. We have a lot to learn from (in stadium) England fans manners. secondly, there are more matches out there, and being an AEK fan is to always cheer for the little guy, and in my mind AEK and brighton are the smaller guys in this group. So after everything said and done ill cheer for you guys vs ajax and marseille. You are exceptional, earned a sub from me, and hopefully you come to Greece when we play again. Actually it's Athlitiki Enosis Konstantinoupoleos (Athletic Club of Constantinople - the team has it's roots in the Vyzantine Empire when Constantinople (now known as Instabul) was the capital of the Empire, hence the twin headed eagle which is our emblem as it was of the Empire's. @@RalphHammett

Kind remark. Our club's name isn't "AEK Athens", it's just "AEK". The toponym "Athens" is NOT part of the club name. It never was. The club was founded in 1924 as "Athlitiki Enosis Konstantinoupoleos" meaning "Athletic Union of Constantinople", hence the akronym "AEK", and has remained unchanged, as evident in our club charter, ever since. Athens isn't our place of origin -that is Constantinople, modern day Instabul of Turkey, formerly the capital of the medieval Roman Empire, the cradle of the late medieval-early modern Greek nation (later the capital of the Ottoman Empire of course). It's not even our homeground -that's Nea Filadelfia, a suburb of Athens. The "Athens" addition in our name in our appearances in the UEFA competitions is an abysmal marketing decision of the club's overtime administrations, going back a couple of decades and unfortunately continuing to this day. It's a shame that we, as AEK fans, do not demand from the administration to appeal to UEFA in order to correct the club name in its competitions and media. This indifference has led many foreign fans to the false impression that "AEK" is probably an insignificant abbreviation, something like "FC" and "Athens" is the actual name, so they call us "Athens". Well done lad nice video and you have my respect for this video.i just want to inform you that i am 43 years old,i had travelled a lot of away matches with AEK and believe me that away win for us(unfortunately i wasn't in the stadium yesterday)was one of the biggest away wins we have ever done in europe while i am alive.i can only say that is similar big as the game vs rangers in 1994 but oh boy the win vs a team of your calibre was insane.our biggest in history was with derby but i wasn't even born at that time.thanks again and if u like to come to greece all brighton fans are welcome.i wouldn't say the same for ajax fans though
