This place has given me one of the most nostalgic experiences and one of my favorite movies. Thank you Brighton and Stephanie Leonidas. Bless you both. 💙

Wow I didn't know there was a Brighton Beach in England here in Brooklyn, NYC, USA there's also a neighborhood called Brighton Beach and it's home to the largest Ukrainians community in NYC along with Russians and Jewish people.

Flying

Love the video! I was in Brighton yesterday with my Air 2, haven't had it long so still a bit wary about flying over water and near birds though! Do the gulls not see drones as a threat? It's the one thing that stops me flying near the coast ;)
@SiteFlyt4 жыл бұрын
Thanks!! I have yet to have any bad bird encounters. No issues flying over water either. Just keep an eye on signal strength and leave yourself enough battery to make the return flight as headwinds can be a drain.

Nice video. Which drone do you use?

Hello, amazing without any micro-freeze. What are your settings on Mavic 2 Pro please ? shutter, fps etc..... Thanks a lot
@SiteFlyt6 жыл бұрын
Sorry to disappoint but all the settings were the default auto settings. Simply setup and flew. Filmed in H265 and then did some minor exposure and saturation tweaking in FCPX. I don't typically fiddle with ND Filters nor manual settings (shutter, aperture, ISO, WB) etc. the exception being exposure adjustments in flight. I used to film in D-Log with the Mavic Pro but so far am liking the standard color profile of the M2P so have yet to try it.

could I ask if i can fly freely like what you did in the video? i.e. will I get told off or anything that I need to be aware of?
@SiteFlyt5 жыл бұрын
@@yurihuski You can fly freely there, no issues to my knowledge. Recommend this website to check while you are flying in the UK >> dronesafe.uk/ There is also an app called "Drone Assist" that can be downloaded which has maps showing where you can or cannot fly. Hope that helps.

Great video ... what drone are you using ? And editing app .?
@SiteFlyt3 жыл бұрын
I used both a Mavic 2 Pro and Mavic 2 Zoom, but mostly the Pro. Edited with FCPX with some transitions from Ryan Nangle.

Hello, is there a way I can contact you about licensing some of this drone footage for a film?
@lukebarnett33273 жыл бұрын
Hey man, can I ask are there any specific permissions you had to obtain in order to fly here? I have my A2CofC but I'm not sure if you need permission from Brighton council directly? Thanks!
@SiteFlyt3 жыл бұрын
Hey Luke, it's been a few years since I flew there so laws and permissions may very well have changed. At the time I simply searched the internet as much as possible to make sure I wasn't breaking any laws. www.noflydrones.co.uk/ is one resource I remember using as well as dronesafe.uk/ I didn't find anything at the time that said it wasn't safe for me to fly there if I simply followed the base rules.

I would imagine permission is likely needed for commercial flights vs. hobby or just for fun.

Hi there, I'm writing from Blast! Films, we'd be interested in potentially using some of this footage for an upcoming BBC2 programme - please get in touch with a link to your video at ngladwin@blastfilms.co.uk Many thanks
