Coffee is a diuretic, it does not dehydrate a person. This is an old myth. Also essential oils and perfume in closed spaces like an airplane are a nightmare for people with allergies or breathing issues.

Yeah but the water that they use in coffee most of the time is unsafe and probably has chemicals or something in it because the water tanks aren’t cleaned that often And of course that will affect the water that they use for the coffee so it’s better to buy a bottle of water in the airport or on the plane

I have a tip: on SOME airplanes, if you are lucky enough to get the isle seat, there is always one problem. If your tray table is down and you have stuff on it but you need to leave your seat, there is a small button on the hinge that will lift the arm so you can get out without having to lift your tray table! Leave a like if this helped you!

You don't need to have an internet-connected phone to travel. But this vid makes me think I do, and that I need to be decades younger. Tip: if you're mobility-impaired, physically fragile (in my case, post-op and still using a walking stick so the airport distance would be too onerous) or know you'll be hugely tired, pay extra for airport assistance (aka assisted travel) - needs to be booked in advance - members of the airport staff meet you on arrival, drive you and your luggage in a little buggy, help you through check-in, assist you onto the plane.

For special ocassions or parties, sure...but not at all if you know you're going to be in close quarters with people and whose allergies are unknown. Just common sense.

Nice video BrightSide! Thank you for these tips, but as of this time I refrain myself from travelling to anywhere whether it's local or international due to the nCovID-19 scare. It's better to stay home this season of Coronavirus than sorry later. But still thank you BS. More power to your channel! 💡🙌

NO!!! Please please do NOT put perfume on a tissue in your pocket. Chemical sensitivity is a hidden disability. Fragrances have tons of unlabelled chemicals. Some people, myself included, have extreme reactions to them (not sneezing - I get nausea, migraines, and my airways close making it hard to breathe). It’s bad enough that I can’t use Ubers and taxis because the majority have those fragrance trees, and I can’t stay in hotels that pipe fragrances through the ventilation or stay in Airbnbs with candles. I love travelling and want to see my family. Why should I and others be restricted from flying? People can live without their fragrances for a few days. For those of you who are angered by my message, go ahead and unleash your anger at me. I’ve dealt with this since I was a kid. I’ve heard it all. Before pressing send I’d encourage you to examine why sharing my experience makes you angry.

I would say that I understand what you’re saying but you are coming off both angry and defensive and that way most people will overlook your genuine concerns because of the associated attitude. You could just simply say why you think people should not wear perfume on the plane because of how it affects some of the travelers and out of respect for those with a condition like yours and they won’t. I for one love my perfume but knowing that it would affect someone negatively, I would opt to not wear it until I am off the Plane. As much as you want it stopped so it doesn’t affect you, it is nice to phrase it better because it’s an individual choice and decision.

@@bellebellebelle5485 I am angry and defensive. Being nice about it doesn’t work. People know what they experience. They know what it means to not like a smell but don’t know what it means to have an adverse reaction to the chemical ingredients. They believe my experience is similar to what they experience when they don’t like a smell so dismiss it. I’m angry that I have to deal with this everyday because of hand sanitizers at grocery stores, air “fresheners” in restrooms, people’s perfume waiting in line or walking down the street. Because of manufacturer’s greed, they are putting harmful ingredients in their products. My only solution is to stay home. That makes me angry. Being nice doesn’t create awareness. Being nice doesn’t create change. If I don’t defend myself, who will?

Instead of buying water you can bring a empty water bottle like a metal one or a plastic reusable one and then you can fill it up after security

What you should do is take an empty bottle to the airport and when you’re on the other side of security, re fill it at the fountains European airports have (sorry idk about America- I’m from the UK). Me and my family do it every year :)

There's also water fountains or water filter in American and Asian airports. Most of times they're near bathrooms .
