weak foot or not, should be a simple pass. Passing the ball with the right is more natural from the position he was in, he just completely fluffed it

That's what he did he passed it simple but it didn't reach the goalkeeper. So he is not going to be save from criticism because if he made a strong pass and scored against his own keeper you would say the same thing. Don't forget the man was off the pitch for few months.
