Bach lives forever. My dad held Bach music up to my mother's stomach every single day of her pregnancy, and I was born in 1978 with music before speaking. Grew up playing the flute thanks to Bach and majored in music education thanks to Bach. It lives on in our memories. Forever.

😊❤ Extraordinary experience the one of yours and your family.... Similar thing I did with my son, during pregnancy. Learn to love Bach's music, thanks to a friend from college, who was a pianist and played the saxophone as well and knew the whole work of Bach's. We have had Bach's music at home for over 30 years.

@@wanderingpalace The reason I call it celestial music is that it makes the faithful lift up their hearts and minds toward God and his abode. Bach’s music is thus a prayer.

For many, maybe most, this is unfortunately not the case. Instead of maturing with age, their artistic sensibilities atrophy at some point, and music, for these people, are mostly a source of nostalgia for times past, or something to be consumed in a hurry like pop music -this instead of a means toward gaining a more transcendental perspective of life via a communication that appeals to the more spiritual aspects of our being.

The best music is subjetive.
@Tigermantt4 жыл бұрын
@@SantiagoAQA only in your world. Nothing subjective about the works of J.S. Bach, as he is considered by many in the world (especially by music scholars) to be the best. Also it has become a trend that whenever people of less music knowledge or less overall intellect run out of logic just bluntly say things like "best is subjective," it raises a flag about those certain individuals. Please refrain from such easy thoughts. There is a special level of complexity in all things and because of different categories and elements not all things are the same or so called subjective. There is a reason a Ferrari and Kia Soul have different pricings. Just because one's love for the KIA Soul is immense doesn't mean that KIA is at the same level of Ferrari in the car world. Sure J.S. Bach may not be the greatest hit in the club, but who can doubt it's complexity and superiority in terms of melody. Oh ya, those who say rubbish things like "best is subjective." SMH, this is why hitting the table with your hand and scratching your head could be a hit nowadays. And if it subjective why comment and say that? Isn't by your same argument that what was said is true by the person who made the statement? Knowledge IS really power. Best to you bud.

@@brendagilbert4304 That's the thing with Bach: he included some pieces of unearthly beauty in the middle of quite excellent works in an almost nonchalant way. All of his music is intelligent, complex, brilliant, balanced, and creative. But some works really do pop out of nowhere and leave you stunned. The second movement of Bach's Double Violin Concerto has such pure beauty. The intimate conversation between the violins reaches a pinnacle. Some have compared this movement to lovers, and not without reason. Those who claim that Bach was nothing but dry mathematics are solidly refuted.

@@jebbroham1776 well, it's not like that too, first of all, he was, indeed, a master of composition, i'm not denying that, but for most of his life he was not completely deaf, his hearing loss startet at his late twenties and progressed thorugh the years till almost the point of complete deafness, but honestly, from a certain point on, regarding composition, you don't need your hearing all that much once you have all the intervals internalized, you can "hear" them without the need to actually hearing the notes, that's just training, and then there's the fact that the media also uses musics that are not exactly "masterpieces" so having your music being used by the media doesn't actually mean all that much by itself, again, i'm not saying he wasn't good, he was really a great master, but all that came with many many hours of study and training, it's not some kind of magic like i said, there's still people doing as good work as beethoven did, they just are not as famous as him yet
