Beautiful flowers! The hotel I work at often buys flowers from the supermarket to dress the tables, perhaps some local restaurants near to you would buy locally from you? Worth investigating for next year maybe :) thanks for another video I always enjoy them x

That's a good idea - something I can look into for next season. :)

They're beautiful flowers! You're on a learning curve which will bring in lots eventually and I think more people are getting natural wedding bouquets as well if you can find those clients.

Yes, definitely seems a lot more people a wanting a natural and more rustic wedding look which works perfectly for home-cut flowers

Greetings from Thailand, always a great pleasure to see your farm project over the years, I must admit alone you are doing a great job! Interesting on how the flower clientele enjoy more the same flower bouquet! Will kale your work easier for next year

Really positive that you’re sales have increased and you’re getting your flowers out there. The cosmos is stunning. I wish my seed dahlias looked like that. Do you remember what seeds you used?
@BrimwoodFarm Жыл бұрын
It's a cacti dahlia seed mix from Moles Seeds. 😊

Farmers Markets are so frustrating round here too. There are little hotspots, towns where the whole local thing is so cool, but ours isn't one of them either!

Ours is NOT one of them either. And the sort of folks who come to our ones are the kinda folks who grow their own.

you'd probably find that dahlia tubers overwinter fine too. I live in a sub-alpine climate in Australia and mine went fine this year. It's spring here and they're shooting really strongly - we got down to -7 over winter and they've coped OK with it. I put a small pile of compost over the cut down stem clumps and bingo! I dug them all up the year before and despite my best efforts, I lost heaps. They can handle more cold than everyone thinks (unless your ground turns into permafrost 😢). Good video this - new sub here 😊

Ooh, good tip Alison. I'll give that a go. I'm going to move some into the polytunnel but will leave a few outside and cover as a test!
