Was lotsa these bug eye Sprites in early 60s El Paso. Inexpensive cars many high school friends had. Popular @ Sunday gymkhanas held in empty mall parking lots. Sum were pretty Kwik with better heads and carbs. Blue streak tires , too.

What a beautiful sprite. Could you share any info on the hopped up 948? I'm putting together a 948 that has been bored 60 over and 12G295 head and a non stock cam. No idea what the cam is. Middle crank bearing has been strapped. Crank and rods were lightened.

Thanks Mike, sounds like a very similar engine, we didn't build this one either so I can't share much, but it goes quite well! Compression is probably 10 or 11:1.

Such a lovely car. Would be nice if you actually revved the car as it is normally driven. All your videos typically show is a sunday drive with what could have been my grandmother at the wheel. It really would have been nice for once especially with this built engine to at least go through a couple of gears with more than 1/4 throttle. JMHO
