This was hard to watch like heart pounding hard seeing Alexis in shock and then slowly realizing Sam is actually gone and then seeing all the old scenes between Jason and Sam through the years while playing their theme song and then actually seeing Jason cry which I don’t think I’ve ever seen him do before how can you not shed tears

I held my father like that. I said the same thing too when I took his hand. He looked like he was sleeping, but just was so cold. I held his hand for a couple of hours and kissed his head a zillion times. I didn't want to leave him.

Although watching Alexis and Jason with Sam was heartbreaking it was also VERY Morbid, even for a soap. GH/Frank wanted ALL of Sam/Kelly supporters to KNOW that they killed her off to never return and THAT is why they viewed her dead body like they did... SICK, EVIL and 100% vengeful retaliation.

Totally agree! A soap has never made a characters death more triggering and detailed than this. Watching the color fade from KM's face (adding makeup) as they zoomed in each time they shocked her was so sick and twisted. I finally yelled stop showing her face!

Oh Nancy. My heart broke for you today. Those scenes were incredible because you truly loved working with Kelly. “She’s cold she needs another blanket.” That line is from the movie, A Star is Born,” with Barbra Streisand and Kris Kristofferson. She holds John Norman in her arms. “You’re so cold…Je needs a blanket, please? Bring him a blanket.” Heartbreaking. But if that were my child I’d probably do the same thing. I think Kelly had a similar scene with Little Lila when she passed away. The actress deserved so much more than this, writers- even the actors know that. Nancy you’ll win with these scenes hands down. The Jason/Sam scenes were good too. But Dante deserved to see her FIRST. I be did not like that at all nor the kids not seeing their mom one last time before she died. I don’t get that at all. But these were award winning scenes for Grahn.

I feel for Kelly Monaco because the former writers destroyed her character and there was no where left to go forward so this was the best ending for the character. Kelly is seriously talented and the past few years her storylines just didn't live up to her potential. Why they didn't turn her and Spenelli into the best PI team around is beyond me. There could have been so many meaty storylines and adventures taken; local WSB type storylines without the 'officials'. They could have been brought into court cases, working both sides of the bench and on and on. Sure the family with Dante was charming and believable for all the kids but a bit boring and boring isn't Sam, or at least the old same many of us knew for years. Sometimes a longtime character has to leave to make the show believable, like when the character of Dr. Mark Greene died on ER. Another heartbreaker. But it kept the show real. I just wished there was something a bit more devious behind the passing because I wouldn't want impressional donor potentials to be afraid to donate after this episode. I thought maybe Cyrus was going to having something to do with her passing, but this also portrayed real life. AMAZING acting by all involved today. Tomorrow and next week are going to be more tear-jerkers I'm sure.
