They've reached a point where they can put out any type of music and absolutely crush it. Their musical creativity is limitless at this point. The whole EP is a showcase of what they've achieved in 16 years. The songs are so diverse from front to end. It's like they take the sound of each era and mix them all together in one concise album. Sempiternal and Amo really helped redefining the band and breaking the boundaries of what they're capable of making and how they can sound. This is my personal best record of 2020 and probably my personal best Bring Me record ever. Idk how they still have ideas left for the rest of Post Human but I'm very looking forward to hearing it!

Its so beautiful to see them pushing eachoter. Oli said it himself, they've had a special relationship. It shows here. The student has become the teacher. Or rather, they are now equals. Legends. @@ZIMBO37333 that depends if you're a fan of their music. But the fact that these girls managed to share the same stage with Metallica, Rob Halford, Dragonforce, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, co-wrote a song with Herman Li, having Alissa White-Gluz from Arch Enemy and Joakim from Sabaton featured in their songs, getting respect from Rob Zombie and Jonathan Davis, made a cameo in Corey Taylor's MV and also featured in BMTH in the span of 10 years since debut is impressive. Not to mention they were the first Asian act to take the number 1 spot in US Billboard for Rock and Metal years ago. People or should I say elitist usually sleep on these girls because of their high pitched voice. But, in terms of metal and music itself? they're missing out a lot.

After being translated, the meaning of the lyrics of the song Kingslayer from Bring Me The Horizon ft. BABYMETAL is a story about how most people become blind and unable to see the messy past. As Kingslayer's lyrics describe, there are some people who are confused about life itself and would be hopeless without outside help. According to the lyricist Kingslayer, people tend to think that everything is safe and they control their lives, when in fact they are controlled by people's opinions, the perceptions of society and the government. BMTH and BABYMETAL tell their listeners to rise up, let go of the system, and relinquish its authority over their lives. Referring to someone who went against normal order as the 'Kingslayer', the singer urges them to bring some kind of relief and freedom while assuring them that they will fight together and make sacrifices to achieve freedom together.

I've always wondered why more metal bands don't do this, at least on a somewhat regular basis. Whether it ends up being Babymetal or another clear, bright female voice is of little consequence, although a japanese voice provides a special kind of tone. But japanese or not, such a voice provides a wonderful contrast for a song, if utilized correctly.
@h15h18 Жыл бұрын
English is a language with stress rhythm. Japanese, on the other hand, is a tonal language with syllabic meter. English and Japanese are languages with very different origins. I think K-POP or C-POP singers would be suitable for metal bands. Korean and Chinese are languages with more stress than Japanese, so they would be gladly singing well in English. Please do not cite Baby metal in this matter.

1:28 "Kurai"~"Cry"...i love this detail in the song. Japanese noun sounds like English verb and, surprisingly, the meaning of both words get closer ("the darkness/being ignorant or stranger to something" lead to a need of shout out "pain, sorrow, pity") as BMTH and Babymetal united two cultures, two languages, their styles and understand each other. Not a misheard pun at all: nice, clever and beautiful, indeed!

And that word is called 'Katakana'. Japanese common word derived from English language.

Let me add one more point from a Japanese. As she sings "another world," 1:35, first two syllables "a" and "na” are in Japanese pronunciation, so that we expect a Japanese word is coming, like "A-Na-Ta (you)" or such, but it's followed by "ther," in English pronunciation. It is surprising and stunning, this transition gives goosebumps to Japanese.

@@firdaruddin1012 You're right, and I mentioned that because I loved the way they played with words. In the sentence, the word "kurai" is used with "darkness" meaning, not the "cry" meaning. However, the english verb "cry" is a word that "understands" the japanese word "Kurai", and being also its katakana-form proves that, which turns that moment in a beautiful correlation (as the whole song, between BMTH and Babymetal).

This is probably the type of music that Uzi and Nori will loop 24/7 alone in their room.
