日本人へのお知らせ! To any of you English speakers, I'm just helping the japanese listeners understand the idioms in the lyrics since some of their translations I saw had some bad translations.

I am a Japanese highschool student learning English and a big fan of BMTH. Thank you for your detailed explanation. I find it really helpful. Even as a learner of English, I find some mistakes in translations of lyrics of BMTH's songs into Japanese on individual blogs. I really want writers to be more accurate in their own translation. I wish I could translate BMTH's emotional, beautiful and sometimes lyrical lyrics accurately ,conveying minute nuances, and spread charms of BMTH. By the way, Your Japanese was awesome. ありがとう。

This song is one of my favorites from the album. I was in an abusive relationship for 2 years, and the person went off and spread all kinds of lies about me, so when I tried to come forward about the abuse, people didn't believe me. So I went silent, while he completely ruined my reputation. When he says, "I cut my teeth and bit my tongue 'til my mouth was dripping blood, but I never dished the dirt, just held my breath, while you dragged me through the mud" it really hits me, because I felt like that was exactly what I was going through. Thankfully, his new girlfriend (now ex) came forward confirming all of the abuse allegations, because he did the same to her. Now he's finally seen as who he really is. It still is upsetting how many people bullied and harassed me because of him, but at least he got a taste of his own medicine in the end. (pun intended)

Thank you a lot for telling such an amazing story. I was excited while reading it. A great number of people around the world suffer from abusive relations they have joined in. But that which does not kill us makes us stronger :) Wish you luck! .

As a BMTH fan since Chelsea Grin. One of my top 5 albums of all time. From all artists/bands. Is That's the Spirit by BMTH. I think the video its very personal for oli, you may think that its just random shit but its not, its about us like fans that crititize oli a lot of times, (his voice, the way that bmth its going, his wife) and you can see at 00:35 that oli is tied by a black rope, its how he feel when we dont let the band be, at 00:45 we see an eye inside oli head looking all what he does or not, the black olivers mean us, we are the black clouds, oli lost his head (literally) because all of that, at 02:27 one oli head its trapped in a cage, whit another oli inside, that dont let him think clearly what to do or think, but at the end he has a fight with himself, wich allowed him to regain his head again... its just a thinking, but we need to see deeper than a new pop music video
