I heard "Amazing Grace" and here I am 3 days later still listeining to covers of music i would have never chosen, wondering how I missed so much. I adore Led Zepplin, so I skeptically listened to "Immigrant Song", because surely no one can pull off Robert Plant's vocals. I was wrong.... and I am so happy to be wrong. I may not be a card carrying metal convert, but I am a solid fan of Dan Vasc...voice, music, art, philosophy (love the "apology" vid regarding our national anthem) and beauty. I found Dan Vasc last week! Apparently he's been around for a long time, but I had no idea. I marvel at his voice, his range, his ability to convey emotion. About this particular song, Dan sings it the way I think it should be sung...with deep growls and screams. I can't sing, so when I listen to Amy Lee sing this song, I always wished she would belt it out more. Now I can enjoy Dan's version and really feel it properly!
