Did not know snails could effect the tank that much! Thanks for sharing

Now this is going to be exciting. Always see new tank setups but this is the first time I see a reset that isn’t tearing down the whole tank & starting fresh. I’m definitely staying tuned for this one…😏

Just came across this channel , Great video , very informative, subscribed and hit notifications, do you do live streams ?? , you forgot to mention lots of dead snails will cause an Ammonia spike, which will kill your shrimp, old Fluval Stratum was the best soil , their new batches are causing problems for people, losing buffering capacity within yr etc , alot of people are switching to Akadama Bonsai soil double red line and baked , buffers PH down to 6.5 and lower if you add more than the average 3-4cm, so you can safely set your own PH required by the amount you add, perfect for Caridina. keep making good videos, stay safe.

Great video! Have you thought about re-dosing beneficial bacteria? A lot of old tanks are having the problem that one or 2 important bacteria are simply outcompeted by other bacteria and therefore causing the problems. ( in my experience it's a cheap solution and it helps!) Greets from Sybrand (the Netherlands)

No I haven't. I could just switch filters out from another tank. It may do about the same thing

Watching you swish the plant around was hilarious but the struggle is real trying to dislodge anything alive in plants.

Looks like you need some assassin snails to lower the snail count. Can't wait to see the tank bounce back!

Nice video, thx for sharing, I want to ask you, Have you ever experienced capepod outbreak? How do you solved it? Anyone who know, please help me...

I have not...those usually come in on new plants or something similar. I don't usually buy anything new for this reason.

Whats the ID of that floating plant with long roots?

I have the same problems with posthorn snails dying in both my tanks, even if I try to feed them right and the water parameters are ok for snails...
