For all the Deadlock watchers, buys on screen aren't edited in, they're an inherent feature of Deadlock itself. Hence, you won't see items pop up to read on screen. That being said, you can pause whenever Mast is buying items to read their descriptions, although it might be more fruitful to play a few matches of Smite/ watch some breakdowns to get a feel for what they all do.

Any chance we can get the buys on screen (like you do with deadlock) and a brief explanation of why you are buying a specific item? Love to see some Wukong. I think Mast is underrestimating how good Hydras is, tho. Yeah, it has been nerfed a lot but it still slaps pretty hard. Especially late game it reduces your kill time significantly.

Blue stone and chrushers work dont nerf themselves as much in subsequent uses now im pretty sure. So i you hit a target your first hit will tick for 100% damage then every other hit will tick for 75% damage. So with 4 hits in total you would only have 325% scaling damage rather than the 400% it used to be

10% from Soul Eater, 20% from Jotun's, 10% from Bauble, and the last 10% from Blue Tiki on any buff he picks up. He even mentioned at one point Bauble was being wasted if he didn't have a buff on

Mast... it's meta *right now* Soul Eater is the cheapest flat pen item for ability based physicals, and people have realized pen is just significantly better than power in every conceivable way, so outside starter no items are being build for ability damagers in the meta that don't have flat or percent pen. So we compare Soul Eater to the other physical flat pen ability items. Transcendence gives you ONE more power, is harder to stack, has no ability lifesteal, and no cooldown. Brawler's Beatstick is better offensively with antiheal and 5 more flat pen, but is 150g more expensive and offers you no sustain... still it is quite obviously strong. Jotunn's offers 5 less power, but is only 50 g more expensive, has the incredibly powerful vigor glyph at a higher cost, and gives you 10 more cdr than soul eater. What this shakes out to is that the ability jungler core is soul eater, jotunn's, titan's bane (40% pen in 1 item isn't just good for antitank, on the lowest phys prot character in the game the titan's bane proc is still 16 equivalent flat pen at level 20), heartseeker, and brawler's. Soul Eater did get nerfed to the state its in, which is one of actually being well balanced, because it used to be the outright strongest flat pen ability item on top of the benefits of its sustain.
