Bringing Down the Big Guns | Starcraft 2 Mastery Achievement Guide | SC2 Nova Covert Ops Walkthrough

Tutorial for the Nova mission pack mastery achieve "Bringing Down the Big Guns" ↓ SHOW MORE for links & info! ↓
This one is all about having the best army that you can before the Xanthos activates for a third time. Battlecruisers make it easy, because you can simply teleport to the Xanthos, and avoid most of the Defenders' forces. With that in mind, simply mass up a fleet of BCs! Let the Xanthos do as much damage as possible, so that you have more time to build your armada. Once the second repair phase is about halfway done, teleport up & disrupt the Xanthos. Destroy it, complete the second stage and you win the achievement!

I finished. Ever. Single. Mission. Achievement in ALL CAMPAIGNS except for the 10th anniversary which i will go for later on THANK YOU SO MUCH. I FINISHED THE KOPRULU SECTOR

I used: regenerative bio-plating for BCs and Advanced logistics for marines (and 3 racks for production). Expanded early, when I reached almost full saturation I already had 7/8 BCS - teleported made Xanthos enter the final form, then swarmed him with marines. Worked like a charm.

Thanks for your SC2 achievement guides! They helped a lot! While I didn’t apply all of the strategies you mentioned in them, they were definitely helpful in terms of finding alternative strategies 😃 With the “Bringing Down the Big Guns” achievement finished, I just got all of the campaign achievements (including the 10th anniversary achievements)! Thanks again! 😃😃 To be honest, I find this achievement much easier to get than “Friendly Competition” (the one on the Night Terrors mission on Hard difficulty where you can’t kill any Tal’darim forces). It might be because I followed your advice and didn’t pay any mind to the Xanthos destroying the Gorgons. I just chilled at my base building my fleet of BCs while also laying down some bunkers, missile turrets, and siege tanks for defense 😂 I also got some upgrades for the BCs: +2 weapons and +1 armor. So by the time I went to attack the Xanthos, I had 15~16 BCs with +2/+1 upgrades. Was definitely smooth sailing 😂 If I wanted to be a completionist/perfectionist and attempted to get the achievement while also preventing the Xanthos from destroying any Gorgons, I would have had a harder time 😅

If I get all 10 anniversary achievements I get the stone announcer Wich I really want sadly alot of them are hard

Some of them are harder than others, but they can all be done on Normal difficulty to ease the requirements. I have a playlist where I did them all on Brutal difficulty, and have no problem answering questions about particular achievements, if you decide to go for them!
