Super super cool!! I would say twill is definitely better for a summer hat. More breathable. I always promote wool in the winter and more twill in the warmer months

I would say so. You could mess up the shape of it, it would probably crease and wrinkle, and with the heated water the color could bleed. You also can’t spot treat specific areas
