if you use a save editor to set the story flag for her joining you in gerudo desert back to on, the riju on the throne will have the same behavior as when she follows you. ......also there might be two of them for some reason.

This reminds me of the game mechanic I was hoping TotK would try with an open world Ganondorf fight where you can leave the battle at any time, but the dude will never despawn but track you down, even in your house and other safe spots, to continue the fight until one of you dies. The ending could be done in a way to allow the cut scene to "plot reason" a way to get you back to Hyrule Field/sky for the final fight.

I remember when Nintendo said that they considered having a post-Calamity Ganon bit of content in BOTW where Ganondorf revives, lifts Hyrule Castle and stands on top of it with his arms crossed as it drifted across the land, perpetually chasing Link across the map.........Never sleeping, and never stopping, until he found his foe. I imagine that whole concept was the whole inspiration behind the castle getting lifted up the way it is in TOTK........It's a shame, in a way, they didn't go full hog on that.....

I know, for a fact, that I found TOTK to be a lot less forgiving than BOTW at times.......and that's saying something, considering the many Guardian murderbots roaming around the land in that game! But as unforgiving as it can be, the notion of there being an enemy that ceaselessly pursues you, and doesn't *care* WHERE you are when it finds you, even, like you said, chilling in your house, in the midst of crafting your latest Zonai construct, fetching a Shrine Gem or whatever, is intimidating! It would definitely be something that would force the player to stay on their toes and keep moving......Especially if they incorporated a rubber band type set-up into how he tracks you, and made it so that the further away you get from him, the faster he pursues you!

Honestly, I've complained a time or two that TotK feels like Nintendo's prime objective was to stop all potential speedrun breaking like was in BotW, even if it meant making the casual players suffer a bit. Seriously, seemed like every time I turned around to do something, whether familiar or using the new features, there was at least two or three unnecessary stipulations added that made it hard to really be as creative as I would've like to have been.
