In German you could use "Schone" which means "beautiful one" (the "o" has an umlaut over it in German). And when addressing the bike you could say "meine Schone" which means "my beautiful one". Or you could use "meine Schatz" which means "my dear one".

Wow what a beauty that Option 719! R18 tc owner here and turns out we have so much in common. My first bike back in 1999 was a '98 Triumph Thunderbird Sport...then a few others....then last year was my first Harley, a brand new '21 Ultra and I love love love that bike might never let it go, then two months ago for some strange reason unknown to the universe, still loving the FLHTK, I was drawn to 'dem R18's so I went all in again and got the R18 tc. Something special about those R18's, a crazy mix of refinement bolted to a couple of ludicrous 900cc jugs--don't know how else to describe it haha! Now the name.....mine is Mathilda, yep German as it gets. Meaning is "strength in battle" so fitting given BMW's long history in motorcycle racing. Enjoy that beaute of yours and keep pumpin out the great content yo!

BMW is very smart. You'll sell a lot of bikes for them with your enthusiasm and subscriber numbers. With all the love you gave to that Road Glide, Harley missed an opportunity not including you more prominently in their CVO roll out. Loving the close up content of this video too. It does LOOK GREAT... It is "a design style". Nice bike... Congrats. I have a BMW R1150RT, 2004, 48K miles. Going on a 2000 mile 2 week trip, camping in 5 or 6 states. I love my BMW. Every time I think of getting a new bike, I realize I have the best bike for me. I would love electronic cruise. This has adaptive cruise? Wow.... My cars have cruise (common almost all cars made in last 10-15 yrs), but my cars are not adaptive.

Cool paint scheme! Happy for you that you've got your own BMW R18 Bagger now! Ride safe and have lot of safe miles and make the 1st service. As for life insurance it's a good thing to have for the ones you would be left behind if you're gone. It's a great piece of mind to have it sorted if anything was bound to happen.

After 30 years of riding motorcycles, I finally got hit by a car in Southern California. If it wasn’t for my GoPro camera the lying Cager would’ve got away with it. I was awarded a six-figure award, and I’m back to riding again. Please make sure that you have large amounts of coverage for uninsured, and under insured motorist, that could possibly hit you. Again, love the videos, love that beautiful bike. Keep the rubber side up, and be safe in all that you do.

I bought a 100th anniversary HD Ultra, on an impulse while at the Dealership, inspecting and prepping my 95 Ultra for my “Ride Home” to the end of the 100th anniversary Celebration in Milwaukee! What a wonderful surprise! I was a big fan of your black R18B. And back when you first got that one you asked for naming suggestions, I offered “Brunhilda”. A loud, fierce warrior queen in Germanic mythology. But now with that more elegant looking one I’m not so sure. I have many trouble free miles on older BMWs , and they were rock solid. The newer ones seem to be hit and miss and the final drive issues some have had is a show stopper for me. BMW has been making bikes for 100yrs and the final drives should be 100% bullet proof by now. They are beautiful bikes though

She's beautiful!! Congratulations on a beautiful bagger! Also, you should name her Bavaria is the name given to a monumental, bronze sand-cast 19th-century statue in Munich, southern Germany. It is a female personification of the Bavarian homeland, and by extension its strength and glory. The statue is part of an ensemble which also includes a hall of fame (Ruhmeshalle) and a stairway.

you're not the only one in here. I recently test rode a BMW 750GS in the super-low suspension/seat configuration, and that thing was *Awesome*. But that one didn't have the opposed low-slung engine thing the 1800 has. Its narrow frame was nice for me. I sat on the 1800 and it was just so clunky feeling to me-- but I ride a Honda Rebel 500, so the low-down brick of an engine was alien to me. If I was a Harley gal I think I wouldn't be that put off by the massive engine chunks down low. My cousin has a BMW 1800 and he f*ckin loves that thing to pieces. I can see that it's a great choice for a "big bike" rider like Jess. For me, I'm seriously considering that lowered GS idea....it was soooo sweet.

Congratulations on the new bike! I have never seen an R18 with those colors. It is beautiful. I also picked up a new Beemer myself last month. I got the R1250 GS Ralley. I noticed that from first to second was a pretty good clunk on the quick shifter, but now that I am past break in, it has gotten much smoother. Enjoy your ride and it is great to have another fellow female rider on a BMW! I don't have a good idea for your bike's name, but my guy is named Wolfgang. I call him Wolfy for short 🙂

nice bike. buddy got one of the first R18s. had buyer's remorse for a while but now loves it. i think they look great. the set up with the boxer is hard for someone like me at 6'3" and 13 shoes. i was wearing boots and had too little room for long time comfort. a little too much effort to change gears due to the lack of space. but for my buddy that is shorter with smaller feet, no issues.

Do you have any forward obstructed view problems? Your helmet GoPro looks like you're just peaking over the dash. Mathilda would be a great name for the bike. Thanks for making this video and asking your audience to chime in with name suggestions for your new ride. Back in the mid-nineties Honda was also searching for a name for their soon to be released Gold Wing based cruiser/bagger model. After many considerations the Japanese Honda Co. christened their American styled & built (Marysville Ohio) bike.....Valkyrie! And just as your R-18TC is no K-1600, the Valkyrie is no Gold Wing; no reverse. no cruise control, no anti-lock a/o linked brakes, no audio/comm system, ect, ect! But like BMW's R-18 series, the Valkyrie has more steel and less plastic than the Gold Wing. It has a visual feel & presence to it. It also really showcases Honda's tour-de-force signature engine; the F-6. Honda stuck gold with the development of the Valkyrie as a showroom floor "halo" model which created a lot of buzz and floor traffic at showrooms. Which I figure BMW is doing with the R-18. Like you I am smitten with this Germanic cruiser and very much consider buying one. Just not so sure I want to give up my Angel! While clearly BMW is targeting the V-twin tour/cruiser/bagger market, I really feel that the Motorrad Co. is picking up with the R-18s where Honda left off with the Valkyrie! And kudos to BMW and I hope it succeeds as it will be good for all of motorcycledom!

I saw your video in the list and tried to guess what your (first) new motorcycle was going to be. Well first it is not your beginner bike. but a brand new BMW 1800 was quite an eye-opener. My wife went out and while I was in the hospital for heart surgery bought a new Kawasaki KLX 230 dual purpose bike all by herself. Not too many 75 year old ladies going into a bike dealer by themselves and buy a bike. (She had a 2015 Yam MT-09 that was getting to be too much for her to move around). We have 5 motorcycles here at the house. I just bought a little black '23 GROM back in March, downsizing from my '94 Yamaha V-Max. I also have a 2014 Black CB1100 Honda with an air-cooled inline 4 and a 2010 Honda VFR 1200F. My wife's late husband also had a Suzuki Burgman 650 scooter with a sidecar, so we have plenty of things to ride. You be safe out there with that big bad BMW!

What about Naming Her, Phoenix? I think it rose from the Ashes? Can’t remember the whole Story. She’s a Beautiful Bike. I Love BMWS also. I’ve been Riding for 50 Years, and Traded my Dyna Wide Glide for a R1200GS. I love how cool the Engine Runs. I never feel any Heat from the Engine. The Harley would absolutely Cook me. The Back Cylinder on the Harley doesn’t get much Air Circulation because of the Front Cylinder. The GS is so comfortable and Loves riding a Twisty Road. The center of Gravity being so low makes it feel like a 150Lb Bike once it’s moving. Hopefully I’ll be able to get one like yours for my last Bike. Thanks for the first Ride. I’m not usually a fan of these kinda bikes , but dam that is a beautiful thing. What a great bike love that you got a BMW instead of a Harley or Indian . Just gorgeous looking. What a paint job . I’ve always loved the old BMW bikes from the 60’s . Those Baxter engines are jus5 cool . 😊you either love ‘em or hate em. Lol . Cruise control and it knows when to slow down for you . Very awesome especially when you get tired . Enjoy that gorgeous bike girly . Great taste you have . Yea I’m not a fan of the heel toe either . Break ins are so not the most fun but when you get to really give it the beans it’s like a new bike . 1800 cc must be like a couch on wheels .
