I just repainted this, I did my 1st one 6 months ago, I wanted to see my progress painting with you. This was my 1st painting with you. Sunflowers hold a very special place in my heart, they were my daughter's favorite flower. If I haven't told you, you are a very generous and kind person, it takes a special person to share their knowledge and enjoy teaching others. Thanks to you and Jon very much taking this time to do all these videos, even when you are vacationing. Art hugs to you from CT.

Thanks, Ginger. I wanted to learn how to paint a clear glass vase but have also learned about painting yellow petals white first! I love it. I was painting yellow over blue background and it turned green, now I know how to keep that from happening! So much to learn. Enjoy your videos, thank you.

Ginger great video! I am going to. give this one a try. lol I am laughing because I can't get over all the things that you and I have in common. I told you once before my birthday is the same as yours, I was the very first car sales person in Sacto California. I was in the car business 20 years from sales, closer to F& I. LOL I also am married to a John, love to paint and have 14 sewing machines which 10 of them are embroidery machines!!!!! My passion is painting, traveling and my grandkids.I hate dealing with computers and measurements also.I am for sure NOT A SOCK FOLDER! lol Honestly never have met someone more like me till YOU. I am a loyal fan of yours down to being an academy member. I have learned soooo much about painting from you this last year.. I am actually turning out to be a decent one. Thanks Ginger. Just had to share this after watching this video and hearing you also did machine embroidery. It's mind blowing!!!

Hi Jon and Ginger! I have a question regarding the Saral paper. I ordered the yellow color and used it for the first time today. I had done a darker background and then used it to trace my pattern. I was disappointed because the yellow had rubbed onto my dark area and not just the pattern that I drew with the pen! Has that happened to you?
@gingercooklive

Your hand probably was smudging it. You should put a piece of cardboard behind the canvas so you have a stiff surface.

Jack White died last year. I only know because I also love Mikki Senkarik's art and follw her blog and Facebook page. She speaks of him often.

Ginger, first thank you for the lesson. :) Second. On the sample painting the front flower looks cupped, and on the painting you did during the lesson it looks domed. Why is that? As in What makes it look different? Is it the brush stroke or shading? I found Jack White's book on Amazon. www.amazon.com/dp/B017RQLL8E/ref=dp-kindle-redirect?_encoding=UTF8&btkr=1

This was great, Ginger and Jon. I love this bright, beautiful, sunflower painting. I love sunflowers anyway. I always enjoy your lives, the stories, the chat.... will you be my girlfriend/galpal? You know we all feel like you already are! LMHO

Great idea. will do. Thanks so much. Hint for you back. take a bit of paint and put on the back of your paint tubes with the some color so when they are turned over you will know which color it is. I put a bit on the cap too.

Ginger could offer to do the brush demonstration for her favorite manufacturer - compensation is required though. Maybe a source for future ad revenue, which you should receive anyways, you advertise for free far too much by demonstrating products that the manufactures do not teach to use. YOU are their best asset.

For example - this video alone has reveived nearly 40,000 views, from a very specific, targeted audience. They cannot ever pay for ads as effective as your demonstrations.

Thank you. I agree. The tub O towels people 2 weeks ago started sending us their product. Which was very nice. Liquitex paid for one add on the watermelon video... but mostly we are out here on our own with a few Amazon affiliate links. LOL

I'm watching this 2 years hence, but I still like to comment if something arises in my. Art and music both have no need for words....it is appreciated in any language.....maybe they should take art and music to tables of negotiations.
