Bringing the Tudors to television in ‘Wolf Hall’

he infamous King Henry VIII, his many wives and scheming ministers were the stars of Hilary Mantel’s award-winning novels, and are now conquering stage and screen. Her books, “Wolf Hall” and “Bring Up the Bodies,” have inspired a new Broadway play and a dramatic mini-series on PBS’ Masterpiece, premiering Sunday. Jeffrey Brown talks to Mantel about writing fiction from history.
