The San Francisco International Pen Show in August would be a great venue because fountain pens and watches are a perfect mesh. I'm biased towards the SF pen show, but there are pen shows all over the country through out the year.

@@CusterWolfe That sparked a fun thought chain, thanks! At first I thought the perfect pen would be either a period appropriate vintage pen or a modern vintage style recreation like a Conklin, Parker, John Holland, etc., but it just felt obvious. I awoke this morning with a different idea. My pen collecting has morphed towards custom pens handmade by individual artists like Ryan Krusac, Brian Gray, Eric Sands, Teri Morris, & Jonathon Brooks. This started me thinking about some of the pen makers who are working in titanium and I like the concept of a pen built along the same design as your watches. A titanium cap and body with the finish to match the watch case and a clip finished to match the watch crown. A new filling mechanism of a type that would have existed in the period of the watch works, perhaps a bulb filler. Then the actual working part of the pen, the nib, a vintage gold nib from an American pen company, perhaps the company's location could be matched to the area and year the watch works were created.

When are the new USA Made FTS watches coming? I find Vortic interesting, but doesn’t really interesting me in owning one.
