This seems like someone designed in everything they wish they had in a headlamp. I especially like that you can turn on the red LED without having to go through all the bright white settings first. The discount code doesn't hurt either. Mine arrives Thursday. Thanks, Mark.

G'day Mark, they've left no stone unturned; have to be in the outstanding category I reckon. I do favor AAs for back up, but main thing is .... readily available, especially from a servo, (petrol station). Using straight from power bank if required = winner. I very much appreciate dual spot/flood LEDs for camping/walking/fishing. A red light, I'll take or leave, ..... if it's there, I consider it a bonus. My Fenix HM65R-T does have a wheel arrangement for size adjustment, though it certainly doesn't coil it up like this one; ..... and easily removable and reversible ........... excellent feature !!! All in all, cant say I'm surprised you jumped on this one mate, thanks for the look. Cheers Duke.

Hi Duke. Lots to like about this light. I have a Fenix with the wheel as well. Better for adjusting size but does not pack the strap away like this one does. This has become my current pack light. Thanks for commenting

Thanks for the review, Mark! I'm not big into headlights for some reason, but this one seems to have both a simple-to-use operating system and a lot of options - always a nice combination! I especially like the ability to charge while operating, and the ability to swap out the rechargeable battery for AAAs - that's not a feature I've seen on a lot of headlights. I may have to reconsider my lack-of-attention to headlights now!

Headlamps make a lot of sense in the woods at night. They give you two hands to work with. Thanks for commenting

Believe it or not, the first few seconds of this video, I said to myself that I wish they made headlights with two buttons, and not just one and you have such complicated series of long holds, double or triple pushes, standing on one foot or hopping. Having a dedicated white and red light buttons means you won’t blind everyone while trying to get to red. I like that ability to swap in regular batteries too. Sometimes the battery goes down, and there’s no way to charge them.

I’m curious how they were able to name it that. Noctua is a very successful Austrian company that make computer cooling hardware. They are known world wide. At some point they’ll have to rename it.

I am not a fan of anything rechargeable with no way to switch the battery because when it's out of power, you are out of your tool, but the fact it will work on a power bank is definitely a huge plus and should be a standard by now. Now, let's get power bank manufacturers to make them head-band compatible 😁

I agree. Being able to use a power bank with a headlamp is something I have started to look for. Thanks for commenting
