Life lines are a time saver when I mess up. Hope this gives me a way to fix when I don’t have one.

at 20.24 i think you forgot to show the left slanting decrease (brLsl dec). I hope people aren't confused by this.

To repeat the X pattern continuously do you go back to row 1 after completing rows 17-18 four times? I was able to do the hat/beanie by watching your videos and then had the courage to do the scarf. Thank you so much!

If I recall, I knitted a few rows of regular brioche between the sections, then you'll go back to the beginning of Section 2

Will the marker placements stay the same on Section 2:X when doing repeat rows R3-4 three times? I When working 2nd repeat the sts didn’t lined up correctly. ie, ...3 sts before marker, brRsl dec, SM, s1 yo, p1 ... I never have the sts after SM to complete instructions for row. And is there a consistent number of sts at end of each row? We began with 39 should I always end with 39 sts per finished row? Tks.

Yes, the marker should stay in the same place. Most likely what has happened is that your marker has slipped under a yarn over at some point. Also, your increases and decreases are paired, so yes, you should always have the same stitch count.

Just wondering why the printed pattern from SOSU misses the increases and decreases you showed in row one light colour dark side? R1 LS DC? She has: " with colour B, k3, slyo, brp1 slyo, p1 s1yo, brp1, SM sl1yo, (brp) slyo to M brp s1yo brp slyo slip 3. This video directs the knitter INSTEAD to do increases and decreases which echo the pass with the light yarn. My knitting went all muddled after a few rows and and I am wondering if I should follow SOSU or this video?

Beginning at 5:08 in the video, I start with R1 LS DC. I'm not going anything different that the pattern has written. You hear me talk about the working through the stitches that have been created as a result of the increases and decreases from the LS LC row that we have just done. But I'm not creating any further increases or decreases. Sorry for any confusion that may have resulted. If that doesn't make sense, then just follow the pattern.

@@PurlTogether I tried three times through and your instructions don't add up. I think the video may have had a few stitches edited out maybe? Around row 3?

I think I get it. You are not intending to give every step in the video..just lots of hints about special stitches like inc and decr.
