That build is coming out nice. Looking forward to seeing it on the water.

Nice finishings, I need help with my console. Really like the way you did yours. Any tips?

Are you putting one in an inflatable? I took my time on mine to get it perfect. You might make a mock up out of cardboard first to get the right height for yourself before starting with wood. I used 3/4 ply, a little overkill, but Id rather have it be too strong than not strong enough. Let me know if you need any specific info, happy to help. Cheers

I like the setup. I have a Stryker 420 and I am planning on installing two pedestal seats this winter. What type and size bolts did you use to mount your seats?
@RogueMTRafterАй бұрын
@@tonycossetta1223 I used stainless steel M8 flathead bolts. I secured them to the floor with this lock-nuts so they don’t slip back through the floor. I siliconed around the tops and bottoms to make sure no water gets in the floor.

Trying to put a boat together that I can fit in a truck. How much time to add seats and console once you arrive at your destination? Usually stay for 2 weeks at a time with a travel trailer at different spots. Thanks for the helpful video.

Did you weld the console to the floor? Wonder how you did it i want to do a similar project… amazing work brother
@RogueMTRafter4 ай бұрын
@@jeanlephunk Thanks 😊 The console and rear bench are mounted to the floor with M8 bolts. The bolts are smooth headed and topped with flex tape so they don’t wear on the floor. They have slim lock nuts on the top of the floor, with permatex thread locker. Then I drilled out the mounting holes at the bottom of the console and bench to go over the lock nuts, leaving enough threaded post to add a heavy washer and nylon lock-nut inside the bench and console. They are mounted solid. Same on the seat post. You’d have to blow this up with dynamite to remove them at this point 😂

Wow - incredible boat. Question: at what point do you get an all-welded (or riveted) ALUMINUM boat and not the inflatable? Thanks.
@RogueMTRafter4 ай бұрын
@@Bigfishfun333 I actually prefer an inflatable boat for my budget. If I had an extra 80k laying around Id probably be running a big crestliner. For the money this boat will safely do everything I need it to. You’re not likely to sink in an inflatable boat either.

@@RogueMTRafter Less expensive, safter, and lighter (better water and towing fuel economy). Not bad.
